MI took the burden to give “respect” to the Team India players and especially the WC winning captain SKY even though totally out of form. We took the hit in this IPL and sacrificed qualification in order to show respect and be grateful. Other team fans don’t realise that and are jingoistic about their teams performance this year and showed less respect towards MI. They don’t realise what MI has done to give you all those small pleasures… Time has now come to stand up and be counted. Who will like to take SKY? Don’t shy away from your responsibilities. Mind you we are already taking care of another WC winning captain Rohit… Don’t ditch your WC winning captains. We leave him to do his own dealings. This is about SKY. He’s a WC winning captain and teams could gain from his captaincy experience. Teams like CSK, KKR or LSG. We don’t want any player in exchange, thank you. We’ve done our duty to give him the respect as a WC winning captain and as a result are with in catching distance of a Wooden Spoon. We’ve done our bit, now it’s other teams turn to stand up and be counted. Let other teams take the responsibility of him as he won the WC for all of us and not just MI. Edited May 15 by asterix
tapandrun Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Since 2018- Sky has been their top scorer 3 times and all those 3 seasons he has scored 500+ runs for MI. And they have been champion 2 time since 2018 and in those 2 seasons their openers have scored 500+ runs (qdk and kishan (open and 4)) which is not coming now. Think rohit caps at max 400-450 runs season thats not good enough. MI neither has the the openers nor the finishers to score really big and mo is not doing that good. Most teams can win the games in pp itself.

If you look at best all rounders in IPL history you would see either they are from MI or CSK or KKR. Not coincidentally won the most titles. Impact sub allowed other teams to match these guys. With better auction they have made MI irrelevant which needs a big shake up.

An ipl franchises tries to find all this which MI has already got. Also they have too many marquee players who they cannot drop because they are marquee players. Arya, Prabh are main acts in punjab. Not the case with MI. Marquee players can hurt you more especially if they are washed up. Happened with CSK where they were forced to field MSD. Atleast he came at 7 sometimes at 8. Damage was less. Still they lost a wicket keeping batsman. MI started doing well after they got rid of a couple of marquee players. rollingstoned, tapandrun, New guy and 1 other 4
