I don't think so , he could have batted at number 5 easily.

He scores at around 125 SR. That is very poor for a finisher

Three wicket hauls in each of the first two ODIs for India:

Piyush Chawla
Gurnoor Brar

Good company. Chawla won 2 ICC trophies

Krunal Pandya batted for RCB at number 5.Which won back to back.Holder is better than him , for GT he could have easily batted at number 5.

Thats what I said, he got away due to thier bowling. Was exposed in finals.

Krunal wasn't consistent no. 5. Was used as collapse stopper

Krunal is liek Axar and is rotated across the order. He's sent up to stop collapses and that's one reason his SR is lower. And when the situation is good, he's pushed lower down so Tim David can hit the bowling. If he played at the same spot consistently his stats would be better. Krunal did the hard part for RCB similar to what Axar has done for India, and no surprises both changed the fortunes of their respective teams.

There's a reason why Krunal has won 5 IPL trophies and is the only one to win MoM in an IPL final twice! The guy is underrated and should've played for India a lot more. He deserved Sundar's spot in Team India in white ball.

TBF I didn't follow the conversation. It still hurts me to see Sundar in the team when someone who's a better fit for that role sit outside. Axar and Krunal are interchangeable in white-ball cricket, whereas Sundar is a poor man's Jadeja and a misfit.

Michael Clarke is really impressed... As per him more he plays better he will get.

Should play all three ODIs in England as well.

I would have Gurnoor, Prince, Ashok, Mohsin (if fit), Nitish Reddy, Shedge, Madhav Tiwari play continuously for India or India A so we identify 2 key pacers and 2 pace all-rounders. Need to build depth at these positions. We need to have batting depth till 8 and 3-4 pace options to succeed in SA. Bumrah and Pandya are automatic choices and need other spots to be claimed.

My guess is for England ODIs they will pick Bumrah Siraj Gurnoor Harshit/Prasidh.

Prince will be part of T20 set up for now.

Gurnoor Nabi and co will feature in SL for those 4 day games as well.  They should add Ashok in there too.

Siraj should not be there. There's a reason India has won a trophy with Siraj on the bench. When he played India lost. In SA we'll have only 1 or a max 2 spots available for a pacer alongside Bumrah. Pandya and potentially another pace all-rounder (Nitish, Shedge, Tiwari) to complement Pandya. Sundar is not needed as in SA we need a pace all-rounder. Can't compromise on our batting depth till 8.

We don't have quality spinner anyways they will go with three proper Pacers + Pace all rounder Reddy + Hardik likely in Highveld especially where all the knockouts will take place.  Leaves space for one spin all rounder

India v Pak either in Durban or Joburg.
