Auvaa threw a punch at Atkinson, which missed and struck an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) security guard.

The security guard required stitches but opted not to report the matter to the police.

"He's a young kid who has only left Samoa once," George was quoted as saying by

"He is immature. He is a rabbit in the headlights in London. He's a good kid, but he's got it wrong. There's no disputing that. But we need to make sure that we establish that sort of behaviour is unacceptable.

"There's also a bit of me that thinks we've got to look after him because he doesn't know right from wrong at the minute.

"We'll look after him. We will make sure that he's got role models around him."

So Saracens Rugby teams Totoa Auvaa a 21 year old kid from Samoa threw a punch at Atkinson which hit Security guard of Atkinson and Stokes after some altercation but these generous lads decided not to report the incident to Police. While Saracens are not blaming the kid for throwing the punch.

What actually made him throw the punch, No one is reporting. I suspect Stokes and Atkinson may have made some comments(most likely racist) and Auvaa couldnt take it.

Quote

"Saracens is satisfied that its independent review was conducted thoroughly and in accordance with the club's internal procedures and standards.

"The ECB contacted the club as part of its review process. Saracens made clear that it wished to complete its own internal investigation before reaching any conclusions. The ECB subsequently concluded its process and issued its statement without any input from Saracens.

"While the events that occurred in the early hours of Monday 8 June 2026 are regrettable for all parties involved, the club remains supportive of the player concerned.

"Having thoroughly reviewed the matter, the club has concluded that no further action is required and now considers the matter closed."

The ECB declined to comment on the Saracens statement.

On surface level he may look like jst an avg. player overall but he has won , ashes, T20i wc and a Odi wc this is kind of a good record and has pivotal roles in winning all 3 tournaments for Eng.

He was superstar of Eng cricket.

Better than Root as a captain but very overrated captain.Best fast bowling allrounder of his this generation.

He had good early success but I felt he was timid when conditions weren't in his favour. In India and Australia, he lacked the belief and gave up without much resistance. A champion team believes in itself and fights tooth and nail in adverse conditions. He failed to take his team to such a level. But that shortcoming aside, his team provided good entertainment and brought viewer interest back into the game.

The had some success at home and against Pakistan mostly in away conditions. But they never were going to be a even a good team given the talent levels in their team along with horrible bowling attacks with Broad and Jimmy ageing.

The two players who were eptiome of Bazball were Brook and Duckett.

Brought viewer interest back into the game how? Aussies , Indian, Kiwis and SA were doing their own thing.

IMO England think world revolves around them only, that is why these useless statements  bazball saved the game and other crap.

I was referring to viewer interest in England, where they catered to a casual audience. Bazball had potential to develop into a well rounded strategy but failed to take off as necessary adjustments were not made.

They had success in LOI cricket with the 50 and 20 over WC wins. They tried a similar brand of cricket in tests also, with limited success that was condition dependant. Yes, the bowling was a joke, with 40+ Jimmy and soon to be 40 Broad leading the pace attack.

Maybe it increased casual viewship in England but at world stage I don't think it had any effect. But if you go back and read all  their sports columnists and stooges of Stokes and Bazball like Nasir Hussain they talked as if Bazball was saving the game.

But their  whiteball success had nothing to do with Bazball. It was due to Andrew Strauss and Morgan , IMO Bazball  ruined their whiteball cricket. They started playing players in all formats

McCullum was only the Test coach when they won the ICC titles, so this so called Bazball approach was only for Tests where they failed to make it to home WTC finals and lost in India and Australia

ECB does not want two tier system in test cricket as they are not sure they will always be in tier 1.They would not be playing both Australia and India if they are tier 2.

First 6 WTC finals in Eng. Laanat on them if they can't even make a final after such a huge favor.

It has to be appericated that he quit IPL to prolong his England career. He would have been best allrounder in IPL and could have made lot more money.

Harry Brook is basically saying no to Franchise cricket as well.

I wish some of the Indian players like Pant and Bumrah would do the same! How much more franchise cricket do they need to play? Better sit out an IPL season than plough through for mediocre returns isn't it? Not saying they need to totally quit franchise cricket, but when fatigued or semi injured, can't they take a season off?
