Like most Democrats, he reflexively jumps into the "minorities are always exploited" camp. And when specific incidents don't fit that paradigm, he has to admit it reluctantly. There are others on the other side who, of course, default into the "minorities (or a specific minority) are always whiny" camp. And cannot see beyond that.
