To Mickey Arthur (Coach, National Team) and Michael Clarke (Captain, National Team) Cricket Australia Subject: Application for the position/role of Aussie Test cricketer Dear Mr. Arthur and Clarkey, In light of recent going ons, as per my sources you may be short handed and desperately in need of Test cricketers, and I would like to formally apply for the role of an Aussie Test cricketer. I understand you are big on applicants listing what they bring to the table so without further ado I will summarize the salient points below in bullet points, which I hear is the CA approved format. 1. I am proficient in working with Microsoft Office suite, including and not limited to MS Powerpoint, MS Word and MS Excel. A sample powerpoint conforming with Cricket Australia's template is attached with the email as proof. Please pay special attention to the "Dancing elephant strangling a laughing eagle" animation on slide 3 for proof of advanced skills I possess. 2. I am an accomplished singer and my singing talents can be vouched for by patrons of "Drinking Duck and Grinning Goose" bar located at the corner of Main & Second streets in Boston. In fact just last week I was so magnificient that I had to be escorted out of the bar so others could have a fair shot. I am sure this unique skill set can be brought to bear in case Aussie team manages a win and "Under the southern cross" needs to be sung. I understand there's a very remote possibility of that happening in the near future but with Lyon omitted from the team, I am sure you will understand the significance of crossing all the "t"s and dotting all the "i"s. 3. I am multi-skilled on the field. I can slot in any position in the batting order and can be deemed something of an "all rounder" in Aussie parlance. I am not any worse than Phil Hughes against spin, and should be able to bowl "spin" while taking a wkt or two for 200 odd. I am sure Clarkey will be thrilled to know I can fit in at Watto's old position at 4 allowing Clarkey to come in at his favored position at 5. 4. I can also lend help to the back-office support/coaching staff by ensuring they don't face any issues with connectivity (LAN/internet), printing, faxing etc. In a way I can wear "Communication Enabler" hat if needed. 5. Mr. Arthur will be thrilled to know I can also fill in for him at media briefings, and can be trotted out in front of the media after yet another demoralising performance. I am well versed with prevalent cliches of our times, cricketing or otherwise" such as "bowling in the right areas/channels", "keeping our chin up", "if we follow the process results will take care of themselves", "lining all the ducks in a row", "crossing the ts and dotting the is" etc. With a prep-up just before meeting with the media I can be briefed about the "cliche of the day" and communicate the same effectively. 6. This is the key point: I look dashing in a baggy green (replica bought at a flea market) and my mom agrees. I know there are more important things in cricket than winning, and looking good on the field has to come first. I will fit right in the boys and am also open to getting a tattoo or two to further the team cause. Suffice to say I have dreamt of playing cricket at intl level since I was a boy and you will never find me short on motivation, zeal or energy. If you need power-points before a Test, I assure you I will do everything in my power to flood your inbox with multiple power-points to go along with a detailed word document and a couple of excel spreadsheets. I hope the above-mentioned skills meet your high standards and fulfill key requirements for the role. I look forward to hearing from you and having further discussions with you in person soon. Yours truly, XYZ Date: March 11, 2013 P.S. - I can be available and ready to go at a very short notice (even in time for the 3rd test against India), so no need to worry about acclimatization.
Wow..........thats well written..- u get the Job Man, u r in the eleven- Clarke and Mickey..

What are the 3 points you're going to improve about yourself since the last test and 3 points about the team  Now, don't tell me you weren't part of the team... you still have to tell me those 6 points!!!
That will be a detailed presentation to Mickey, Clarkey and Pat Howard in person :winky:

3 points, every point starts with 'i will' 1.visualize every bowler like a paki bowler 2.visualize the ball as a laddoo,so i`ll catch it(ball) with my mouth just like i would gulp a laddoo (better than dropping dollies) 3.lick srini`s talwa

Pujara suffers knee injury Cheteshwar Pujara suffers knee injury day before test match during practice. :(( As Shikhar Dhawan looks set to come in place of Virender Sehwag, it also seems like Ajinkya Rahane could come in place of Pujara. Your thoughts?

Chance to win 3 tests in a series only 4th time in our history Was looking at statsguru and there have been just 3 occasions when we have won 3 tests in our entire history. 3-0 vs Eng in 1993 and vs Sri Lanka in 1993-94. and 3-1 in NZ back in 1968 (our first away series win). afisue.jpghttp://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;team=6;template=results;type=team;view=series An opportunity for us to do it again. Hopefully Dhoni and the team will be geared up and not be slack.

we dont white wash teams do we? if you look at our win los ratio and the number of series we have won there is a relatively large discord. Only recently have we started brushing teams aside (NZ in India for eg)
