Prolific opener Saeed Anwar w/ an avg of 38+ & Toffee kumar at the crease. Nehra getting spanked left and right. Pak 56 in 10 overs. Zak starts off a new over and swings the ball in to the surprise of Toffee. Stumps knocked back. India has their 1st wicket. Pak surprisingly sends Abdul Razzaq up the order to up the ante. Razzaq fails to contribute and gets caught off of Nehra's 140 kph delivery. Dravid wicket-keeping takes a brilliant one handed catch off the edge of Razzaq 12 off 29. Pak 90/2 after 21 ov and here comes Inzy. Kumble starts off new over and the 1st ball gets smacked for a 4 by Inzy. Buzz around the ground that Inzy is in a mood to destroy Indian bowling...everyone looks tensed on the field. Kumble seems to be dreading bowling this over after getting hit 1st ball. Last ball of the over, Saeed hits the ball to the point, starts off running, stops midway and signals Inzy to get back. Inzy has already come down half of the pitch. He turns around and dashes off desperately trying to get back to the other end and witnesses the ball traveling past him being thrown by Viru and Kumble at the stumps collecting the throw and knocking off the bail. Inzy clearly run out by some distance. Big blow for Pak. 98/3 in 22 overs. Yousuf Youhana(Md. Yusuf) steadies the ship with Anwar and putting on a partnership. However, 36th over..Youhana clips one off his pad...ball balloons up and gets caught in the deep by Zak. Pak 171/4. Younis Khan and Saeed once again steadies the ship and Anwar gets his 4th 100 vs India. Nehra starts off 41st ov with a toe crushing yorker that sees Anwar's stump go flying! Dada pulls off a surprise from his captaincy hat. Gives the ball to Dinesh Mongia facing Boom Boom. Afridi smacks Dinesh for a 4 first ball. 2nd ball dot. 3rd ball gets hit but goes straight up very high and Kumble takes a FINE catch. Boom boom gone for 9. Pak 208/6. Zak 1st surprises Latif with a nasty bouncer and then knocks off Waz's stumps but the ball gets called a No ball. Pak reaches 273/7 thanks to some awful death bowling by Nehra. ---------- Sachin & Viru at the crease. Actor & Wasim gets smacked all around the park. India reaches 53 in 5 overs at a shocking RR of 10+ Viru gets caught at point by Afridi followed by Ganguly getting LBW. 2 in 2 and Waqar on a hattrick. Sudden scene of shock on Indian faces. Momod Kaif comes in and steadies the ship with SRT who was going berserk from the other end. Tendu gets dropped on 32 by Razzaq and it proves to be the ultimate game shifter for Pak. Tendu gets to his 60th ODI 50 with ease. Goes on to cross 12,000 ODI runs. Boom Boom comes in to bowl and knocks off Kaif's middle stump thanks to an inside edge. India 155/3 after 21 ov. Dravid joins SRT in some exquisite cover drives. SRT gets cramped up, asks Viru to be his runner but gets OUT on 98 to an incredible delivery from Actor. SRT tries to duck the bouncer but the ball jumps up and hits his glove and gets caught by the diving Younis Khan. Big momentum shift again for India & Pak. India 177/4. In comes my man YUVI with 97 needed from 133 balls. Yuvi ends up getting to his 11th ODI 50 after a long partnership with Dravid and takes India HOME with 27 balls to spare. Incredible knock under pressure considering only Dinesh Mongia and the bowlers to come after him. India wins by 6 wickets and 4th consecutive victory in WC over Pak. Incredible match :hatsoff:
