Indian bastmen didn't get much of a hit except the top 3. KKD made 146 and 103 in the warm up.. so let us not carried away because he could not slog in the middle overs in couple of matches. Raina couldn't do either. Dhoni also had some what a flop tournament.

the only proven batsman that I can see should be given a go is Pujara either as opener or number 4. I have seen plenty of his domestic innings where he can easily score big at SR of 100. He might not have the game for T20, but looks ideal for 50 overs and obviously Tests.

rohit is a total fail, he fluked his way to an edgy 30 odd against SL, and was made to look like a muppet in the final against good quality pace and swing. he has no footwork and go to defence shot, he is an embarrassment to the indian batting order, the sooner the selectors and dhoni realise the better for the team. and of course the other sharma, phissant needs to just feck off, nearly single handily won the game for England. this guy has not got any common sense to lead our pace attack.

to me rohit is not that bad he is technical problem which everyone is ignoring cos of his hyped up tailunt if he works on it he can bee good player for us ..infact gave us many solid starts and would have even here if it was full game . now the other sharma is hopeless game would have never been this close if it was not for him .. other than him every bowler played part like yadav getting cook early and bhuvi bowling 3 overs for not much .. he fluked his way to 2 wickets but there was no skill there just pure luck of luckiest person alive! yet, he refers to himself as unlucky :hysterical:

Since everyone had a bit of hand in this win.. it is unfair to throw them now. May be Vijay can be dispensed with and bring Pujara in. Ishant as much as a honest trier lacks enough variations. Worst part is he is not even having control over his stock delivery which is incoming one to the right handers. He bowls them wide and short. In one dayers you have to have absolute control over what you are doing. If you have that you are already decent bowler.

The only man who walks into this team is Yuvi, you cant keep him away from this format for long, he is the unsung hero of ODI's, what ever form issue or health issue he has, this win by India would surely wake Yuvraj up, and i am sure he will get hungrier and come back stronger.

Ishant definitely. The dude generates so much confidence in opposition batsmen and seems to possess serious mental weakness. Needs to grind it out in the domestic circuit to discipline himself. The lines and lengths that he bowled yesterday, one couldn't believe this was a dude who has played over 50 test matches! Karthick? WTF. Dude has just been given a go, and while he failed to set the grounds on fire, hasn't done a too shabby job imo. Need to give him a reasonable outing and is a definite asset considering his fielding skills. My preference list would be Vijay, Ishant Sharma & Pathan (what's the use of carrying this allrounder well past his sell by date?)

Inswing is not anymore his stock delivery as he has changed his action to get that outswinger. He does not have any real stock delivery nowadays. He just puts most of the balls half way.
