Prakat Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 We are losing about 30 runs per innings with Dhoni gone. Rayudu seems a good pick as he is good with the long handle. Now to see if he can handle the pressure.
vvvslaxman Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 hmm had a so so IPL 2013. Dont know about the rest of the domestics. Was in red hot form about 2 years ago. Going by domestic List A stat even Sachin Baby has done okay. Stuart Binny could have been another option. Best was Uthappa Uthappa 11 matches 585 runs 58.50 avge 101.73 strike rate 2 centuries 3 fiftiess Rayudu 6 matches 244 runs 48.80 avge 78.20 strike rate 2 fifties Pujara 3 matches 361 runs 361.00 avge 107.44 strike rate 2 centuries 1 fifty

Honestly i don't think he will get a hit with just couple of matches to go.
maniac Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Rayudu is a perfect batsman...had to reinvent his game to stand out as a LOI specialist thanks to Shivlal Yadav and his cronies and talentless son....Really looking forward to see how he steps up
ravishingravi Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Blessing in disguise. Dhoni has been made to play like a donkey over last 1 year. Much needed break and good test for Indian team.
kumar713 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Mooli flopping against lankans will put Rayudu in against windies

Just make sure we don't miss his runs under normal circumstances. This rules out bowlers like some have been suggesting.
NameGoesHere Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I hope Rayadu proves me wrong. I believe him to be a very talented batsman, especially if he is allowed to bat at his own pace. But I am not sure of his ability (or sheer physical strength) to force the pace, as he will be required to do in the shorter version of the game. We'll see.
Sidhoni Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Where should he bat? Either him at 6, Jaddu at 7 or Jaddu at 6 and he will be batting at 7?
Lord Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Where should he bat? Either him at 6' date=' Jaddu at 7 or Jaddu at 6 and he will be batting at 7?[/quote'] Jaddu at 7 surely.he may bat at 5 with Raina at 6.
Sidhoni Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Jaddu at 7 surely.he may bat at 5 with Raina at 6. Raina has to bat at 5.
saneindian Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Wrote this earlier, reports say he will be applying for Visa today. Someone should advice him to go to Zimbabwe High Commission instead and apply for visa for the Zim ODI series.
Lord Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Raina has to bat at 5. Raina is a finisher. We need one in absence of Dhoni to go crazy in slog overs even of just 10 overs. Rayudu takes time to settle down so will suit no.5 more imo. but atm is Mooli :((

carnish Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Great Decision. Long Live Sandeep Patil ... Down With Kris Srikanth.
