Sidhoni Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Watching him bat through his career and now recently in the Champions' League, there is no reason he shouldn't be in all our first teams. I think everyone just loves watching him bat, he has been on the fringes for quite some time now and now that he is in some really great form, its a shame he won't be playing against Australia. He is also brilliant in the field, among the best in Indian cricket like Raina and Jadeja. Ideally he should be playing in the middle order in Tests because that is where he is at his best though he can open in LOIs. Though he is not the most explosive batsmen for T20s, he can be a perfect opening partner for someone like Dhawan and his success in the format proves that you don't really need to be a big hitter to succeed in T20s.

He looks like a complete chicken when playing for India which was quite evident from his face. He definetly have talent to represent india in atleast one format but Selectors have to be very patient with him if they want to go ahead with him esp Tests... But once, if he fits into the groove, he can be consistent.....Someone like Amla

And we haven't seen Rahane play tests yet. Not his fault
