Austin 3:!6 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Fans giving respect, media giving respect, ex cricketers, politicians, movie stars, whole world giving respect to the maestro. Now its the turn of his own captain. Dhoni always gives extra respect when Seniors retire. I remember, he allowed Ganguly to captain the side for last 30 mins in his last test match. It was indeed a very special and humble gesture by MSD. He allowed Dravid to be a part of t'20 match in England when he was at the end of his career. I cant recall but he did something for Anil Kumble as well. What do you think he will do as a mark of respect for Sachin in his last test? Or rather what you want to see?
adi B Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 he might let sachin keep towards the end of the 2nd test ,sachin never kept behind the wkts afaik
Jersey #10 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Maybe he won't declare when Sachin is notout on 194. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/current/match/64081.html

After Kumble's last test Dhoni carried him on his shoulders and did a lap of honor. With Tendulkar he may just pick him up upside down and do a few helicopter shot imitations.
Pagalpanti Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I think he'll let Tendulkar let clean up WI tail if it doesn't hurt India's chances. Fans wont mind seeing Tendu celebrate wickets, cuz runs are gonna be hard to come by for him..
FischerTal Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 the best thing to do would be to give an emotional speech at the presentation ceremony. :sniffle:

Jun 4, 2005 His career was certainly close to end at that time due to Tennis elbow. Only yesterday I was watching his interview by Gaurav Kalra where he said "He was unsure if he would ever come to play cricket again. After trying several failed treatments for Tennis elbow, surgery was last resort, but after surgery, it was taking far too much time to heal and recuperate For months, he could not even bat with his son's bat, let alone a cricket bat. He feared he would not be able to play cricket again."
