Dude re read my post. I agree. I said laxy was ok with tail. I didnt criticise his batting with tail, others did. Go after them!! I just said he had different style to batting with tail, which was correct way considering how he batted

It was a miracle that Ishant survived so long facing Aussie attack.[/quote'] ishant was not out but ojha was out..tbh i didn't like how lax batted with the tail tbh but then it worked,he did not shield them as much as nohit did,i remember against pak in 2005 in mohali he didn't bat well with the tail,exposed them too much..he let the tail take the strike a bit too much but their slog worked well at durban,in mohali he did well but ishant faced quite a lot of balls as well

U make ur own luck.Ishant has always been a gritty tailender.

He is gritty yes, but give him a few bouncers at his throat and he will give you catching practice. For me, it was a miracle that he survived for so long playing so many deliveries. Ojha also survived a very close LBW call just before the end.

No one is thrashing Laxman. He has his own style of batting with tail and he was successful in that. Every player has different strengths, but Laxman was saying Rohit's approach was wrong when he was batting but his approach proved right because he has the ability to play differently that what Laxman used to do.

True Plus imo he is defo the best player of fast bowling in the India team and is the best backfoot player in the team. Overseas I think he will end up being our most reliable batsman. Put him at number 4 and he could dent the oppos fast bolwers. Making it easier later on for out FTB to prosper:giggle: i.e dhobi

Laxman was considered to be a decent strokemaker in the era that he played in. The pre t20 era did not have strokemakers like Rohit, Kohli etc. among specialist batsmen barring a couple of exceptional guys.

Rohit has just hit a purple patch playing on extremely batting friendly tracks (even though this pitch is a bit challenging but it is his home turf so he is better equipped to deal with it). Now a massive challenge awaits him on the upcoming away tours... so Goodluck to him. Taking nothing away from the magnificent start to his test career though.... Hope he can carry on with the consistency of Pujara.... This test batting line-up can emulate the great line-up of the 2000s (Sehwag, Dravid, Sachin, Lax, Gangu) IF they continue to grow into their test roles and utilize their immense tailunts.
