I think Ashwin has shown, he is good enough bat and he can be slotted to #6, but our mindset doesnt allow do such experimentation..Just like we never allow someone to take opening slot who has not opened in domestic , however good my be his technique. Rahane is not good for #6, he is top order batsman..He should open and or play at #3..Ashwin has shown time and again , he can bat for long time ..He is better batsman than Dhoni and Jaddu in tests.

Stubborn pigheaded favoritism for team selections This is the #1 reason 2. Terrible handling of fast bowlers - in so many ways (Incl field setting and over quotas and spells given to bowlers etc etc) 3. Lackluster captaincy, Rhiti sports etc 4.
