I seriously want what is secular junta's justification for this. This is outrageous and not going to help situation in MuzafarNagar.
Is this a rhetorical question ? Why would the 'secular junta' be supportive of a clear case of corruption and collusion to get criminally charged ones off the hook ??

ppl are after modi for a riot early in his cm tenure. but ppl are not against these lowlives which indulge in corrupt practises. these sickular idiots dont understand bad governance has taken more lives than riots. both are shameful , but why media doesnt condemn death due to corruption. are lives lost in riots are more important than death due to malnutrition and other economical problem.

Yeah I wonder why ?
there is no why to this. since not a single person- secular or otherwise has supported this move by the UP govt., the charge against 'secular junta; is obviously false and putting words in their mouth by a non secular idiot. simple!

^Did you understood original question?
The original query ( not a question), was the 'secular junta's take on this', which got pigeonholed into 'secular junta will say blahblah' by a noted conservative, which is basically putting words in someone else's mouth and then running with it as if it had been said. Since nobody from the 'secular junta' justified this, the question has been answered by the lack of 'secular junta's justification' for it. Ie, it is not a position supported by seculars but then again, conservatives have long since ran the disingineous game of 'what would the seculars say about this ? let me tell you what they will say about this ' and then say 'see, i told you so'.

I am definitely voting for these guys to keep the fascist communal forces away from power.

At a time when Uttar Pradesh is struggling with the aftermath of the Muzaffarnagar riots and allegations of mismanagement, eight state ministers and nine legislators are on a multi-nation study tour that is packed with sightseeing. Over 18 days, the ministers and MLAs, who are part of the state's 'Commonwealth Parliamentary Association', will visit Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Italy, Netherlands, Britain and the UAE. Each member is also carrying Rs. two lakh for shopping. "They will study ways of strengthening our parliamentary system. We got this opportunity after six years," said state Tourism Minister Om Prakash Singh. The legislators left this morning for Istanbul, where their itinerary covers standard tourist attractions like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and Topkapi palace. The Samajwadi Party government has sanctioned around Rs. 1 crore for the trip. The tour is led by Urban Development Minister Azam Khan, in charge of the Muzaffarnagar district where thousands driven out of their homes in the September riots are trying to survive the winter in temporary shelters without enough warm clothing or facilities. Also in the group is controversial minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh or 'Raja Bhaiya', who was recently investigated in connection with the murder of a senior police officer.

Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit will perform at the 'Saifai Mahotsav' on Wednesday evening in Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's hometown, bringing down curtains on an event that has been criticized for its glamour and extravagance at a time the state is struggling to rehabilitate riot-hit families in Muzaffarnagar. (Read) Wary of criticism from the media, organizing committee chairman Dharmendra Yadav, who is Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav's nephew, said reporters would be allowed into the finale, but barred them from carrying their cameras, to prevent live telecast. The festival, part of an annual ritual at Mr Yadav's ancestral village in Etawah district, is into its 15th edition now, but it has come under heavy shelling from the Opposition parties as it was held against the backdrop of the controversy over the relief camps for Muzaffarnagar riot victims, and their plight. As many as 34 children are reported to have died in these temporary shelters after failing to withstand the bitter cold that has swept the region. The state government has drawn flak for trying to drive the inmates of these camps back to their homes. "While children are dying daily in these camps, Yadav is organizing Saifai Mahotsav, with shows by dancers from foreign countries," Union Steel Minister Beni Prasad Yadav told reporters on December 29, after his attention was drawn to reports about Mr Yadav, and his father Mulayam Singh, flying to Saifai to participate in the festival. The BSP, too, slammed the state government for its decision to go ahead with the annual festival, held every winter in Uttar Pradesh's most pampered village. "They have lost all human values as they are celebrating at a time when so many kids have died in Muzaffarnagar," BSP leader Sudhindra Bhadoria said. SP leaders, however, remain defiant, and continue to defend the festival. "I want to clarify again that UP government has conducted Saifai Mahotsav to promote arts and culture," state cabinet minister Rajendra Chaudhary said today. In an interview to NDTV earlier this week, the UP chief minister had justified the decision to hold the lavish show, arguing that it was an annual affair which provided jobs to the locals. Organisers of the 14-day carnival are tightlipped about the budget, but critics have panned it for drawing heavily from the state's coffers. Besides Khan and Dixit, music composers Sajid-Wajid are also expected to enthrall the audience. In the past, popular stars such as Hrithik Roshan and Bipasha Basu have performed in the VVIP village.
