He has a grand total of 1 century in List A. Strike rate 77 on INdian pattas against Indian bowlers. average of 35. That is abysmal. Makes you question why he is selected Batting depth does not look very deep if the likes of rayudu get picked.

If he works on pull, hook and defense against short deliveries, he can come back. Problem is his issues are not just technical but mental too. He looks scared to face the short deliveries and finding other ways of getting out because he is expecting a bouncer every ball. His form has nose dived recently because he is no longer comfortable at the crease.

The Guy did well in F.C and was touted as the next big thing one point of time.....Maybe ODI is not hsi thing,Did well in IPL,ICL and hada fantastic start in the longer format in domestics. He is leagues ahead of Yadav's son. But yeah It does seem he is out of depth in the role he is playing in internationals.

This was their time to solidify our campaign for WC15 and ODI team on the whole.. but, we are paying big prize currently... Yuvi and Raina both were free flowing attacking batsmen .. Rahane/Rayudu will never be in that mode.. I had a lot of faith in Raina... but this was one of the side effects of staying in CSK team.. He got complacent about his place in the team.. somewhere he stopped working hard. I hope he gets back in ODI team.. need the old OLD Raina and Yuvi back. Raina should have been picked in SC ..
