lol what did he say.

When Bumrah hit 144, he said thats the quickest he has bowled so far. And when he went past the edge, Brendon commented that just the last 2 matches, these balls were going to boundary. And laughed.

Even in the first 2 matches, he was quite vocal about penalizing Indians by 25 runs per over because they were taking long to finish the 50 overs in stipulated time. Lots of such comments by him.

I think Wasim once said in ODI cricket he wasn't concerned with wickets, just keeping runs down. Unsure if I totally agree but it is an interesting thought, nonetheless.

yup he has said that many times in interview, that he intially looked for something in the wkt and if he didnt find any movement he use to go to plan b of keeping runs down....which is right also

it might have been apt during his playing days with reverse swing possible. Now a days if a bowler bowls 7 - 0 32 - 0 , he might still go for 40 of his last 3 if opposite team has many wickets in hand.

But at least he will be 32 in 7 and not 2. Containing runs will always give you a chance to come back. Batsmen have to move the pace and mistakes happen in that case.

These days against top teams.. it doesnt seem to work for top bowlers themselves.. wont be easy for tier 3 bowlers like Shardul

to make sure this does not happen Indians need to bowl consistently at 150 but its futile if they cant bowl well at any speed first and win games that's an other issue lol.

Of what I remember seeing of Wasim and Waqar, the duo never settled for anything less than wickets. They really didnt look to contain runs, Wasim was naturally very tough to score off.

While the thought process is correct to contain runs, but I think Wasim just says it to sound balanced.

Aussie commentators are the most biased in the world by far. Even Hindi commentators (who only cater to domestic audience) are more balanced and informed regarding the opposition.

Didn't watch the match or highlights

Only heard about Pandya's batting

But saw Cameroon Greens name on scorecard

Just wanted to know how did he bowl,being so tall he must have extracted bounce.Anyone plz update

@express bowling

@Mosher
   @Rightarmfast

Green has an easy run up and does get bounce  because of his height ... but did not get sudden or awkward bounce.

He has bowled at good enough speeds of 135 k to 142 k. Saw a fastest of 145 k too. ( but have not watched all his deliveries  ).

Has the ingredients to be a decent 3rd seamer.

Lee, Clarke and Warne are good commentators. Balanced and informed.

Most other Aussie commentators are as biased as they come and are always trying to "bat" for Australia.
