Aus got pasting too..the non pacer friendly tracks..will result in that

Can be an Ishant type tall, hit the deck, pacy and accurate work-horse who can maintain pressure from his end in tests and even ODIs.

Yup, our fast bowling vision looks confusing. Harshit after playing 2 tests in Australia hasn't played much. Lost an year which could have been used to groom him further.

My biggest issue is that the selectors are not allowing Harshit to play FC. He has all the ingredients to become a top test pacer .. 90 mph pace, height, bounce, seam movement both ways, big inswinger, nasty bumper, decent yorker, low FC average plus he is just 23 and has age on his side ( unlike Prasidh, Akashdeep etc. )

 

He should havd played all Duleep Trophy games, both Unofficial Tests for Indian A and the Irani Cup ( instead of useless games in the Asia Cup and Unofficial ODIs that are coming up ).

 

Why are they so myopic !!

The more he plays in FC..tighter he gets..and then he will become very penetrative bowler..but he is not getting enough number of overs under his belt in FC..

I think we lived through a great Indian pace generation. 

 

Varun Aaron, Umesh Yadav, with pace reveal ..........Ishant Sharma,Bhuvi Kumar,Mohammed Shami,Umesh 2.0, Jaspreet Bumrah that grp was the menace. That was fun and seeing them along side Ashwin and Jadeja.

True, youngsters feed on sports stars who have made it big and with TV broadcasting many sports events. I am sure many want to be the next Bumrah, i don't follow chess but I heard most of the current crop of Indian youngsters, V Anand has some hand on them. 

 

I am sure Kapil started the wave, i hope it will be sustained...

 

And with fast bowlers we can win all over the world...i remember reading about Clive Lloyd who was traditionally relying on two spinners and a couple of fast bowlers, saw the power of the Australian fast bowlers and decided to copy that and such a small set of countries WI ruled the world for so many years..

 

Now I heard WI prefer the American sports like basketball...no youngsters to feed their national team ...
