Umran 6.6 Shardul 7.0 Arshdeep 8.3 Southee 7.3 and Milne 6.7 were more expensive than Umran too. And Ferguson at 5.9 not far behind. Umran best on both counts among Indian pacers Quite good debut !! Granted he does not bowl a lot of slower balls but he is a different league.

It's almost like he can bowl only a few overs per month. Mosher 1

Kuldeep is fine but Bishnoi is an off spinner disguised as wrist spinner and there is no evidence he is better.

But Umran bowled same speeds of 140 k to 153 k on ODI debut in a 10 over per bowler game as he did in those 4 over per bowler IPL games ( except that one off match where he touched 157 k ) Shows how correct IPL Speed Guns are.
