Yes, opportunity missed here. Chahar is anyway useless with old ball...Kuldeep, Siraj, Umran with Shardul as 4th seam +allrounder should have been enough.

I keep in saying this .... most weaker teams can't play raw pace and we should go with 4 out and out quicks against them..

Shanto's feet too were not moving and he was exposing all 3 stumps as pointed out by the commentator. That's what pace does. The fear of getting hit by a hard ball tends to mess with the head.

I don't understand why the TM can't see what all of us and other experts can very clearly. In 3 overs he has made life hell for their batsmen. That ball which got Shanto at express pace is one of the things you watch cricket for.

He has not overpitched or given width till his 3rd over. Great to see.

Mohsin is there too. This has the makings of a top class fast bowling attack with a lot of variety. Talent is there but they cannot think beyond trundlers.

This will only go, if someone from the current setup in BCCI or TM fight for pacers (just like Gambhir did for Saini).
Create your Tier 1 (Bumrah, Shami, Siraj) and Tier 2 pacers (Kuldeep, Umran, Tyagi, Praisdh, Mohsin) and then rotate them series by series to ensure they don't overburn themselves.
Sadly, none in current setup has that much vision and motivation. Hopefully if we can make Bumrah captain in Tests then we might see some changes,

Playing against lesser sides(no offence to BD) for these newcomers help them immensely

First,they get real game time 

 

Second,confidence

Third,adjust to their natural length
