Read some GOOD NEWS related to Mayank Yadav in today's TOI just now and could not resist posting it immediately.

Seems he could be picked for T20 against Bangladesh- if so i expect Bangla to not make more than 100 runs and Mayank getting 2 or 3 wickets in his 4 overs at least.

also written that they may fly Mayank to NewZealand Series also with team india( not sure in net bowlers or Select him).

He is bowling 20 overs a day( as mentioned in TOI)- i guess he is ready , this is TOP NEWS...............

Won't play him red ball cricket at all. Need to be careful with him.

I would at least for a year more would like to see him in T20 and ODI cricket.

Of course he can be X factor pick in Champions Trophy next year

Saw the Highlights of Jasprit, Siraj and Akash.

Akash- immaculate line n length and bowling 139k quite often - i guess he has booked his place in TEST 11 against everyone.

Siraj was a shade slow but still he was trying his bit and was unlucky, few catches dropped off his bowling.

BOOM was OK but as a leader of the wolf pack - i expect him to be faster than this.

heard that Kamboj ,abhishek sharma , riyan parag could be picked in T20 series along with Hardik Pandya, Mayank Yadav..- :bumsmack:i am worried about Bangladesh. they will loose wickets and also get HURT all over the body ( if mayank plays)- God Save Bangla Batsmen.

if all this Happens- I will give a BIG "well done- good Job " to agarkar.

Hope GG plays Mayank.

I don't expect him to clock 150 straight away. But if he is able to, it will be a sight for many of us who wanted an express pacer in Indian colours.

Since Umran played in 2023 Jan, we are deprived of such joyful moments.

Him being fit for a month and bowling close to 20 overs is an excellent news.
With his "accurate pace" he is an asset for white ball format, I don't consider him for red ball format at this juncture. We have got Akashdeep as our 4th pacer, hopefully Harshit becomes 5th...Mayank can be considered once he is settled himself in white ball.

Mayank bowling 20 overs every day, in 3 spells, for more than a month at the NCA, was an excellent step by the NCA. Well done !

There is no substitute for actually bowling 15+ overs every day for many many days. It will prepare the body for the rigours of fast bowling. Accuracy and ability to sustain pace will improve too.

They need to do the same with every young quick bowler without much FC experience, when no domestic cricket is being played.

Like Tyagi, Harshit, Umran, Gurnoor, Yudhvir, Prasidh, Sakib Hussain, Nagarkoti, Ashok Sharma. Even Sen can do the same when fit.

Great news! Hope selectors pick Mayank.

Do selectors (TM) and BCCI work separately, sometimes without even communicating?

I often hear about XYZ player is under BCCI's future plans but never see them selected even for practice matches.

No question about external influence about in selections but then why doesn't BCCI force them to select some of their fast tracked players?

Ok now multiple reports saying he is going to play in BD T20Is ..

If all goes well he will be in SA in November too.  Imagine him bowling in  Joburg Wanderers

Don't think he will be picked without playing any domestic games.

There is no white ball domestic going on & BCCI don't want him to play Red ball as of now.

Was reading reports that they want Mayank to play the Perth test and Pink ball test if he looks good in ODIs.

Bowl short spells of 3 to 4 overs as the 4th quick. There will be 3 more pacers snd Jadeja to share the workload.

There will be no ODIs before 1st Test match in Perth.

7 T20s only.  3 vs BD & 4 in SA.

They shouldn't be greedy with him. Australian grounds are unforgiving for newbies..  They are hard turfs which takes getting used for quick bowlers with their run ups.

It would be stupidity to risk him.  Don't kill the golden Goose I'd say.

Harshit can play in Perth if they are desperate.  He can bowl 145k with some Hit the deck stuff.

They probably talked about A-team unofficial ODIs in Australia before the test series.

For me it depends on his bowling fitness. 50 over games is the best way to gauge it along with assessment at the nets. In the past has already played Zonal OD games without getting injured.

Australia tours are great learning experiences for newbie quicks too.

Harshit should play in Perth, Brisbane and the Pink ball test.

Apart from hit the deck 145 k bowling from 6'3" height, he will bring some lower order batting / hitting too.

now since mayank is in t20 against Bangla so looks he is certain to be in A team against Australia and that would give him an opportunity to learn and finally play in perth and Pink ball test. siraj/boom/akash would play as shammi's fitness is a concern and one of harshit or mayank may play in 11 . but it seems mayank and harshit are both going to be on the plane to Australia. they will pick 6 fast bowlers for Australia and with Mayank and Harshit selected against Bangla and assuming both of them do well , they both may be flying to australia as boom/siraj/akash/harshit/Mayank/if SHAMMI is fit he flies else Sardar arshdeep or Khaleel may get a chance.

seems they have decided on the best 6 pacers now- boom/siraj/akash/mayank/harshit/Shammi...arshdeep/khaleel as te 7th.
