To be fair it's our young bowlers who need to take all steps to ensure that they don't break down every now and then.Sad to read that simarjeet singh is not Fully fit

He is in Delhi Ranji Squad.

Sakib Hussain is in Bihar
Raj Limbani in for Baroda
Yudhvir Singh in J&K
Gurnoor is in Punjab
Simarjeet make in for Delhi

Need to see if Raj Bawa plays for Chandigarh

No Kartik Tyagi, Mohsin Khan for UP
No Kuldeep Sen in MP
No Hangargekar in MH

yes he should give his best..he sees how Mayank has been in the news..if he does well..he will also be in the reckoning too..also..it seems selectors wanted him to try in Duleep trophy for BGT..so we cant give poor marks to selectors either..so its just pure bad luck..with the strings of illness..and injuries

Naah, I wont go so easy on the selectors. When you have a youngster with you, and someone as special as Umran, you go all out and support him. Umran is a rarity. I dont see the kind of support from the selectors that he deserved. Clearly there's been more than meets the eye.

Must be tough on him. They just totally abandoned him. U can’t drop a young guy from the international side to no other opportunities anywhere in any team whatsoever.

He probably has the least stress while generating pace. I don’t think he’s ever gonna drop pace. Just needs to sort his length and most importantly have confidence in his own self. Be more fearless when the batter is trying to attack. One breakout tournament and I’m sure he’ll be back.

The problem with him is he does not know how to use that extra pace to get wkts, he just runs in  and bowls fast, he does not have that extra bounce.

He was kind of on the track on getting that wkt taking ability in 2nd IPL season he was softening the batters with a hit on lid then follow up with some lenght ball or rush them with short again, not sure what happened to him when he joined ind team, even in intial few games he looked like having some brains if he was getting hit for 4/6 he had a good ball to follow up.

He will need to find ways to take wkts and the issue is there is no1 he can find who would/could help him they might be telling him to add some swing in general.

They need to tell him how to pick up wkts, all these sl, zim, bd tours should have been used to develop these skills but avesh and khaleel played those games.

TM and selectors does not understand longterm solutions with fast bowling

will the dream of watching Mayank and Umraan bowling as a pair in a world cup eliminator be a reality?

Hope to see Bumrah, Mayank, Umran and Harshit bowl accurately and at full pace on a fast, bouncy track against Australia or England or Pakistan in ODIs.

v.low possibility under rohit he is similar to dhoni when it comes to fast bowlers in the team, he like bowlers who provide control over pace , 140 ish kmph and such that edges does nt go to 4/6

Rohit will retire soon. Its upto Umraan and Mayank to remain fit for longer periods and develop consistency

Umran has that menacing action like Steyn/Umesh Yadav. A special talent like him deserves an extended rope and needs to be nurtured separately

his action can get good movement..esp reverse..he did say in recent intvw he worked hard to generate some swing..and practiced with new ball a lot..

I hope he can do that now with decent accuracy..as that will make him very penetrative..as he lacks height..

he just needs little movement..as at his pace..that is going to be very challanging to face..

Teams which had the most fearsome pace attacks were the most dominating teams in history. Opponents did not like to play against them and were often psyched out even before the match begun. Like the WI snd Australia.

India now needs to promote pacers who are fearsome to face along with having wicket taking ability. Pacers who can bowl and do bowl hostile short balls at will. Having good quick yorkers help this cause too.

Both Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana have the potential to be fearsome pacers as well as strike bowlers. Maybe Kuldeep Sen too

Srinath wax very hostile as a pacer but waa not given his due.

Umesh was very fast but due to his round arm action and low release point, he was not that bouncy.

Aaron wax fearsome but lacked wicket taking ability and accuracy.

Peak Shami was both fearsome as well as a strike bowler. Old nowadays and is now more of a line and length zippy pacer.

Bumrah can be the most fearsome of the lot but very often he chooses not to bowl any hostile short balls at all. When he does boel them, he is a nightmare to face. His often used quick yorkers are very fearsome to face though.

Siraj bowls a lot of short balls but they often lack venom.

Arshdeep has the mindset of a fast bowler but is medium pace. Tall and has a good bumper which he uses freely. Has a good yorker too. If only he was 5 kph quicker.

Umran is so quick but his release point is low. Needs a lot of control over length and line to be hostile.

Tyagi can be both but he needs to be accurate and play actual matches.

We need more tall, hit the deck, accurate 140 k+ pacers. One good thing is that lot of tall pacers are in contention now.

Srinath was quick but not fearsome. He was too softhearted and didnt had good bumper.
Aaron had attitude and aggression for a quickie, he was quite accurate till he had to remodel his action. That's why I am lil worried about Mayank as well. Hopefully we have more understanding of injury mgmt now.
Sreesanth was one who had fast bowler's attitude, but he lacked guidance. He had the ability to deliver jaffa's out of nowhere.

aaron lacked skill not accuracy. he was not good at taking wickets while umesh was opposite.

mayank is adding deliveries to his arsenal unlike aaron.

Aaron lost everything post action remodel.
Just compare his performances pre and post injury in ODI's (i.e. 2011 and 2014)
He picked 6 wickets in 4 games before injury at an avg of 26.00 vs strong teams like England and WI. Post action remodel his avg jumped to 52.

Tests too you will see same pattern, he did quite well on a spin friendly wicket on debut in comparison to Ishant. I remember how people were appreciating his ability to not lose intensity even in the unfriendliest conditions. Post action remodel he simply wasn't even able to control the landing of delivery at times.

On the contrary, I feel he must have been quite fearsome. But when you don't have a bowling unit backing you up, opposition can just play you out.

Yes, Sreeshanth was a proper fast bowler. Bad politics spoilt his career.

Sreesanth was mostly fast medium, lacked discipline. He was aggressive. But couldn't bowl long with intensity. Lacked fitness and stamina.

If Harshit doesn't get selected before auction, it will be clear that Gambhir is another farzi deshbakt and on SRK's payroll @Lone Wolf

Media should call out and drag all such frauds through the mud, especially the ones who do so much drama about patriotism.
