Besides Vijay & Virat the rest of the batsmen were completely useless. I think if Mitch Marsh had been in the Indian team he would have been our 3rd best batsman. I ain't fooled by the seemingly close match. The gulf was huge. 4 - 0 looks more likely after this game.

Believing that it was a narrow loss is exhibiting being satisfied in of itself. Our bowlers were nowhere close to taking 20 wickets which is almost a pre-requisite to win matches..

+1 Australia's generosity made us look better. I loved the attitude of Kohli and Vijay. Rahane was a bit unlucky. Others have to start delivering goods. This is 4th overseas tour in a row. Seen some very good bowlers all over the world in addition to practicing against them in the IPL nets. Lots and lots of exposure for them. No more excuses to fail match after match.

I hear you. This is purely for our batting and our performance for 5th day. No one is satisfied with our bowling and we will never be satisfied with them until they win us plenty of games as we know how shyt we have been historically in bowling. Kohli and Vijay were awesome on Day 5. But Day 5 also included losing 8 wickets in one session. Disastrous display. Hard to be "satisfied" looking at it from any angle.

Didn't expect them to chase. I slept at 199 for 2 hope they had sense to go for the draw. It is all false bravado...it would be smart to make Aus think we are going for the draw, but at some point they could have shut shop. This is the first test. Not the last test of the series when there are no more chances. Actually, I thought India was on its way to victory. All they needed to do was play out the overs with the set batsmen and they would have won the match. While the fightback was commendable from Vijay and Kohli, India as a whole panicked too early and lost the plot. This was India's game to lose going into the last session. The players and the fans would be kicking themselves as they had a great chance to go ahead 1-0 in the series.
