Probably the best partnership outside India in the last 20 years alongside Dravid-Laxman at Adelaide in 2003, although that was not as counter attacking as this one. Terrific batting.

Agree. I am in particular happy by what I saw from Rahane. I have seen a lot of Kohli now in Odi's and test, but Rahane batted with so much confidence and class. We kept talking about how Kohli has handled Mitchell well in this series, but Rahane was all over Johnson today in that little spell of his. He took him apart. Rahane was playing Johnson and co with so much ease. He was exposing his off stump and whacking everything. Top Knock from Rahane, and Great P'ship between him and Kohli.

Great counter attacking partnership in such quick time. Only if pujara joins this party, we will have formidable four in vijay, pujara, kohli and Rahane just like the 2000s

On the same road against an inferior Indian bowling, Aussies had to be bailed out by the tail.:haha: Our batting is 2X better than the Aussies regardless of match result and tour result.
