That's what one calls a spearhead, took up the responsibility in Boom's absence

Unlike that wannabe spear lambu

his body is like a spear - thin and uniform cross-section. and there's a head on the top. ergo, a spear-head.

He has the best bowling average vs sena in odi out of ALL TOP BOWLERS

In tests best average vs s.africa. improved average vs Aussies.

He only had issues in n.z and England.

He'll now in England too he has done well with an average of 26 in the last tour.

What a champion cricketer.

This lineup of Shami, Bumrah and Siraj is the best possible lineup currently. And rat plays Ishant and gives him the new ball and the end where wind is behind the bowler :no:How many times Shami and Bumrah were robbed of favorable conditions and Siraj a chance to play. rat needs heat on his captaincy to finally listen to other sensible heads in the squad. someone needs to check his power constantly

I wonder if he is one of those bowlers who would have been only run of the mill in the 00s or 90s despite his obvious ability. He is someone who I can clearly say has benefitted from Kohli's influence and captaincy even if he always had it in him.

Shami is better than all pacers in 90s, with the potential (and I emphasise "potential") exception of Srinath. Sri finished with a pretty good record, so I think there is a chance that he could have done well now. Moreover, one should note that pacers hunt in packs. Sri and Shami bowling together would have enhanced each others' effectiveness. Coming to 00s, there were many flash in the pans, but again the only long-term pacer we had was Zak.

Do you think sreesanth or munaf patel wouldnt have been as good if they played in the current era? Both shami and bhuvi made their debut in the aane do series for eg where one clearly seems to have had the better career.
