Max well has 1) A shot that he can play from outside the off to square leg 2)A shot that he can play from outside leg over extra cover 3) A shot that he can reverse sweep from outside the leg stump over third man 4) A conventional slog sweep 5) A conventional lofted shot down the ground 6) A conventional sweep behind square 7) An inside out shot over long off from middle stump This guy has so many options against spinners. Only thing he has not exhibited skills against is a super quick arm ball. That is the only area Ashwin can come on top of him. Or otherwise slow the ball extremely so that he can mistime it.
