jusarrived Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Khan was keep on sweeping' date=' he had no idea which way was ball turning,on the other hand Samson was playing with straight bat and had scored a lot of runs in the V region..I rate batsmen who play straight.[/quote'] fair enough , Sarfrazs technique is a little unorthodox , hes not a batsmen whos going to play with the staright bat . Hes more a mix of Arvinda and Dhoni imo a pure LOI batsmen . My issues with samosn is that even though he plays in the V region and a straight bat , hes edgy , and his technique is so stiff & commits to his shots very early . When he comes off , he comes off & unlikely will be consistent . I dont think either of them will play test cricket , but in ODIs some one like Sarfraz will do better & thats just my opinion . I dont know why one has to get offended with it .
jusarrived Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Not the first time. I remember you having a go at Shami too. I'm talking behalf of all those 3' date=' not just 'that mallu player'. You come all gun blazing without watching the player bat.[/quote'] I like 2 of those youngsters & dont buy the hype on other . I dont have a habbit of sitting on the fence . where exactly is the problem ? you seem to get agressive when I mentioned the mallu player last time as well , just an observation .
Temujin Khaghan Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 this young fatty must exercise hard and play atleast 50 FC matches, to be considered for India for that matter, even other youngsters.
vvvslaxman Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 WIll be good in subcontinental conditions as he is very wristy. Looks like a busy player.
velu Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 brother iyer is a proper top order batsmen .. one for the future :icflove: rhino seems to be a busy player like raina .. got plenty of time to improve
MCcricket Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 One can't see a diamond n takes it for dirt, have seen Sachin n Kambli bat at that age n see him as good n if not better in terms of temperament n confidence, Sarfaraz is the most exciting 17 year old I have seen in my life with Tendulkar n that says a lot, Ayer is a good prospect , Samson too, given his age n his confidence in taking on the bowlers, his quick reflex, balance n amazing power , he should be a phenom if things fall into place. Might not be a stylist or orthodox , but has talent n he is not a Dhoni or Pathan kind hitter but proper batsmen, if going by u guys comments some here , Abdv is a talentless slogger lol
adi B Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Just because he hacked a few boundaries in the tamasha league,he's the real deal?? Lol ,if anything he could be given a chance for only t20s for now
adi B Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 WIll be good in subcontinental conditions as he is very wristy. Looks like a busy player. He plays like the paki sarfaraz
Raghav_12 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 difficult to make that kind of comments based on this show. But Iyer did well in Ranji trophy as well. So looks to be real deal. Anyways Mumbai keeps churning batting talent.
Number Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I think one area where our system is probably better than Australia is fast tracking young talent through the ranks. It is a double edged sword and can sometimes backfire as it could destroy players confidence if he is really not ready, but if a player comes off well at such a young age, you probably get an ATG.
rkt.india Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Disagree with the big hit part' date=' busy player for sure. You need ability to hit sixes at will to be a real power hitter/finisher.[/quote'] You dont get such power hitters at this age.
div Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 fair enough ' date=' Sarfrazs technique is a little unorthodox , hes not a batsmen whos going to play with the staright bat . I dont know why one has to get offended with it .[/quote'] International cricket is different ball game, let Khan hit a few sixes against fast/fast medium bowlers, after that u can compare him with Samson and Iyer..as far as test cricket is concerned, so called fastest bowler Shoaib Akhtar rates Samson highly,I think he will play test cricket but may underperform like Rohit Sharma.
Gambit Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 LOL. During all my time on various cricket message boards, jusarrived is without doubt the worst judge of talent ever.
Bigg Brother Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Iyer is incomparable to Sarfaraz,Hooda,Pandya in terms of confidence and maturity let alone batting. Sarfaraz is not mature enough.Although Sarfaraz comes after Iyer for me.
MCcricket Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 This kid is special and unless wearing tinted glasses it is obvious, he has broken many records at age group n playing U19 at 16 n winning games, he is as good a kid I have seen at 16 n again I have seen Sachin n Kambli , Parthiv n others at that age
Cricket_Hacker Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Why do people keep mentioning Samson again and again?Has done jack
Number Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 He looks quite bulky but his running between the wicket and fielding isn't bad at all. May be he is just big boned.
SLICKR392 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I like 2 of those youngsters & dont buy the hype on other . I dont have a habbit of sitting on the fence . where exactly is the problem ? you seem to get agressive when I mentioned the mallu player last time as well , just an observation . No, I'm just irritated by the way you judge talents on ICF everytime. You catch 1 innings and consider that player to be a GOAT.
SLICKR392 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 As far Sarfaraz is concerned, for a 17 year to play those shots and pile up this many runs, is something special. Should be given a run in Ranji and picked in LOIs over Rahane.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Next miandad in the making. Boy knows how to survive. Expect lots and lots of controversies on the way..lol.
