Gollum Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I am glad he has been called. Says it all about the state of our team right now. We have become minnows.
The Realist Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 So when's RP Singh getting the SOS call from the beaches of Miami? #2011alloveragain
rkt.india Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I guess they will drop Aaron and play Binny as medium pace alrounder along with Ishant the 2nd pacer and then 3 spinners.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I guess they will drop Aaron and play Binny as medium pace alrounder along with Ishant the 2nd pacer and then 3 spinners. Then we can lose again.
rkt.india Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Then we can lose again. I dont see them dropping a spinner for a medium pacer who wont be of much use in these conditions.
jusarrived Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I guess they will drop Aaron and play Binny as medium pace alrounder along with Ishant the 2nd pacer and then 3 spinners. Aaron may be dropped for Yadav - He should be Harbajan for Pujara
kosingh Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I dont see them dropping a spinner for a medium pacer who wont be of much use in these conditions. Well, if Harbhajan was any good. He isn't. Not even in these conditions. 3 spinners would be great, but we just don't have 3 spinners. The 3rd spinner isn't even average. I dislike Binny as much as anyone, but between now finished Harbhajan and Binny, I'd rather they go with the latter.
youngindia Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 His selection doesn't make any sense. Its not England. how many wickets he took in England? it makes sense when you consider that the likes of shastri ,gavaskar are truly around and kohli shares their foolish ill conceived views. things are going nowhere here. its not as if our bowling resources are great anyway...but certainly we can do without the incompetence of gavaskar and kohli as far as strategic thinking is concerned. saha at no6, expecting too much from the likes of ashwin ,5 bowlers are all examples of man made stupidity
rkt.india Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 how many wickets he took in England? He might not have, but it at least would have made sense that you are picking a batsman who can bowl a bit of medium pace.
rkt.india Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Well' date=' if Harbhajan was any good. He isn't. Not even in these conditions. 3 spinners would be great, but we just don't have 3 spinners. The 3rd spinner isn't even average. I dislike Binny as much as anyone, but between now finished Harbhajan and Binny, I'd rather they go with the latter.[/quote'] Dont think they have sent Binny to replace Bhajji. They could have sent Pragyan Ojha for that, but he is sent means he is going to replace a specialist seamer because he can bat.
tweaker Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Knowing Kohli we will keep Rohit,Harbhajan,Ishant,Aaron but will drop Mishra
vishalvirsingh Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 bhajji getting only 1 wicket in the test on a spinning track indicates that he bowled badly. even an Ishant got 2 wickets though the track was spin friendly.
vishalvirsingh Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 varun got a catch spilt by dhawan and I guess he created enough opportunities and got 1 wicket too.. he bowled deadly bouncers and got their openers at the back foot. I don't think he bowled badly on this track which did not assist pacers.. he also did not bowl too fast and was trying to bowl with hin himself. it makes sense to play him so that he can try his best in the next match. one cant be chopping n changing all the time.
vvvslaxman Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 A mediocre selection. This is not one dayer. Should have gone for Shreyas Gopal who can bat a bit and he is a leggie.
maniac Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 A mediocre selection. This is not one dayer. Should have gone for Shreyas Gopal who can bat a bit and he is a leggie. Binny is a good bat and from what I have seen has good a very good temparament. His seam up's might be more useful than Bhajji's seam ups any ways
Gollum Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 He can't be possible worse than Nohit/Bhajji/Rahul, can he?
sourab10forever Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 He can't be possible worse than Nohit/Bhajji/Rahul' date=' can he?[/quote'] Actually he is rohit+bajji+ saha on current form.
sensible-indian Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 He can't be possible worse than Nohit/Bhajji/Rahul' date=' can he?[/quote'] What do you think about Binny? Will he be on your playing XI? And what's your XI for 2nd test?
vvvslaxman Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 He can't be possible worse than Nohit/Bhajji/Rahul' date=' can he?[/quote'] Lot of players in India would fit that description :cantstop:
