Everyone ranging from Sachin to Dhoni to Kohli and coaches consider Rohit Sharma to be the best batsman and most Talented batsman eventhough he only shines only once in a blue moon, he impresses them in the net-sessions i believe or he mesmerizes all of them with his classy, effortless shots.

Case in point was Dhawan's omission for final test after flare up between them. Don't rate him either. But Kohli's evaluation of player should purely depend on contribution on the ground regardless of how talented or untalented someone is.
maniac Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Nothing wrong with what virat said....here is how to look at it....there are 10 other players to make up for an odd failure by ROHIT but come to think of it this man can perform miracles and singlehanddly win you games with his God given ability....that is what X factor means....every captain be it Dhoni or virat or management that wants to run a successful team or franchise understand this....looks like only arm chair icf fans make fun of this mans ability. This guy is special and a true match winner and like it or not he is here to stay and if anything will prosper in the kohli era

More importantly, it also meant that using such phrases placed the cricketer in question below the league of others who didn't need such conditionals to describe their reliability, Tendulkar/Ponting/Lara etc. It sucks when Nohit is placed in the earlier league, is their anyone besides ABDV who can genuinely claim to be ATG category unanimously ?

I have never seen a guy after he gets set be so dangerous. You take the best finishers in the game - [Kieron] Pollard, [James] Faulkner, [Eoin] Morgan - but when Rohit gets set it is almost impossible to stop him. I mean, it is ridiculous the kind of hitting he does after getting 50. You know if Rohit Sharma is on 50 with four overs to go, you are in troubled waters. Literally, save yourself. I'm not joking. Dot balls are absolutely impossible. And he has scored two double-hundreds in ODIs opening the innings. Could you have imagined all these things without gaining confidence from T20 cricket, where guys keep hitting so consistently that they build confidence to do it throughout 50 overs? Can you imagine, from 20 overs they are adding 30 more overs of the same kind of play? It is all about the mental set-up and confidence that guys are gaining from playing T20 cricket against the best bowlers K just read through the article and what Kohli is is perfectly true.Rohit is the cleanest hitter in cricket today when set in ODIs and T20s .And he hits them consistently and for a longer period with ease.
