Every country has certain type of pitches and home advantage should always be used but tracks like these where any spinner can take wickets and stroke play is difficult will only breed one style of play. We need pitches with some bounce and those which turn from 3rd day.

Pitches in India will always help spinners but these are bit too one dimensional. Spinners just need to put the ball and they will get the results. 150-200 run pitches are not good. 300-400 pitches are needed and match will go on 5 days and still produce result.

These pitches will just boost the wicket tally of the spinners. Its really not going to help the spinners improve their game. When they tour overseas they will struggle to pick up wickets there as they will not get the same purchase off the pitch and they will give up easily. Forget about developing fast bowlers on these pitches.

Dude India can still win on pitches which don't look like day 5 pitch on day 1 itself. We also shouldn't be whining when Indian bowlers perform poorly next time they tour overseas.

I would sympathies with any other opposition but  these saffers deserve these kinda pitches.

Yeah no sympathy for SA. But these typing of pitches will do more harm to India than benefit them in the long run. We have to look at improving the test team and not just look at the short term results.

The pitch in the Bangalore test was ideal for this series. Sufficient help for spinners but batsmen and even pacers can do well if they apply themselves.

There isn’t anything wrong with these pitches. Both sides are batting incompetently and making it seem like this pitches are impossible to bat on. A team like Pakistan would comfortably be able to score 250-300 on them.
