Dil Dil India Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 Number of tons is not really an issue nor are averages in so and so country for me in ODIs. I don't see them as being that important in LOi. My issue is with the break up of his hundreds. He has 8 out of 10 tons vs Sri Lanka and India, who have hardly had what you would call great ODI bowling attacks. He also has a ton against Zimbabwe. He has a solitary ton vs what you would call a decent ODI attack..NZ...and even that came in Sharjah in a run fest but I don't want to nitpick to that extent. He has no ODI tons vs the good bowling attacks viz Aus, SA, etc.

Old guy Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 What about fifties? ..from my memory he even had record for most fifties for short while..I am sure even there he would have dominated India etc but he was pretty decent against others too and being middle order batsman in that era with that fitness I am not surprised he does not has many hundreds .

May be we should not even consider him as a batsman then)Indians regard Misbah very highly. It is you guys who regard Afridi as a better player than Misbah, which is a shame. A true hallmark of a good batsman is to score runs under the tough conditions. How has Inzamam done in Aus, NZ, Eng and SA?? express bowling and Rasgulla 2
