Singh bling Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) Australia is the worst nightmare of Indian team , they have knocked us out in so many World cups. , ,1999, 2003 , 2015 and 2012 T20. So this Sunday will add 1 more kicking India out of WC ? or this time the result will be different. their only weakness is spin and Dhoni will never play addittional spinner Edited March 26, 2016 by Singh bling

But we have also knocked them out a few times - 2007 T20, 2014 T20, 2011 etc so keep faith. Rasgulla and zen 2
Cricket_Hacker Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Hopefully no tuk tuk in powerplay vs Australia, need atleast 50 after 6 overs Rasgulla and Mosher 2
Nova Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Hopefully no tuk tuk in powerplay vs Australia, need atleast 50 after 6 oversYes our batting has to fire. We have to go from powermouse to powerhouse !!!
zen Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) Over the years I have heard many cricketers say that QF and SF are the toughest games. Undoubtedly, Ind has to be at the top of its game vs Aus who would be seeking to win its first WT20 title. Below is what I would do to stop Australia: 1st - Pitch: This will be the 3rd game in a few days at Mohali so the pitch could have seen some use. Mostly likely it would be the one used for NZ vs Pak game. As we saw in that game, spinners got some help 2nd - Toss: Bat first 3rd - Bowling Attack: In Tests and T20s, I like to secure the bowling first. 2-3 batsmen can get a big total but you can't afford to have your bowlers (and fielders) fail. SInce the surface offers spin, I would go with 3 regular spinners as regular bowlers are more likely to bowl more balls that pick up wkts 4th - Batting Strategy: Based on the last two games played there 170-190 appears to be a good total. So shoot for 180, which is 9 RPO. Try to get 100 by the 12 to 13 overs mark and then with wkts in hand go all out in the last 7-8 overs .... If there is enough wear and tear in the pitch, shoot for 160 (or depending up on the pitch) w/ a focus on getting as many as possible in the PPs * If I lose the toss, restrict Aus to less 160 .... Whatever the result - look to play positive, attacking and exciting cricket! Squad: Dhawan, Rohit, Kohli, Pandya, Dhoni, Yuvi or Raina, Bhajji, Jadeja, Ashwin, Nehra and Bumrah Edited March 26, 2016 by rett
Number Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 In earlier world cricket tourneys our bowling has been always been weak which doesn't test their technically unsound but flashy batting. This time their bowling seems a little weak and our bowling has been pretty good in the last 15 T20 games. So I'd back India to beat them unless batsmen have a bad day again. The only thing I fear in their bowling is Watson's slow bouncers. Time and time again I have seen him causing problems to us with that.
zen Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Aus vs Ind - AdvantageBatting - Aus Bowling - Ind (Pitch will offer some assistance to spin. Most likely NZ vs Pak pitch) Fielding - Aus Captaincy, team selection, etc. - Aus Aus 53, Ind 47 speedheat 1

MK55 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 This match is making me I'm confident that if we somehow win against AUS, we'll go ahead and win the cup.Smith has got back to form and Warner is bound to fire against us. Rohit has to fire for us. The only way we're gonna be posting a good total is if one of the openers scores 80+ at a strike rate of 150+. Judging by the matches that were played recently at Mohali, par total will be 185+.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 We are going to win this. Don't worry about it. We are not Pakistan.

Mahaa Raavana Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) If the pitch is a low, slow one Aus will go down meekly.. they neither have the quality in batting nor bowling to thrive in such conditions..The NZ match was a freak show. Lightening won't strike twice.. the inevitable will happen Edited March 26, 2016 by Mahaa Raavana

broken_wings Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Aus team is back on track. If Aus can play like they did against Pak that would do for Ind.
asterix Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 The openers have to step up... You cannot depend on Kohli and Dhoni to save India every time... You don't deserve to next round if most of the team members are not contributing to the win...
