India seems to be producing fast bowling talent, talent was always there but not exploited, players like Zaidi n other cricketers from Bihar, U.P had it in them but BCCI was not looking for it n fast bowlers were wasted.

Now the problem lies in having the proper infrastructure so they won't get injured n develop also need good captains n management who know n value bowlers n even at national level capt like Dhoni has been miserable with fast bowlers

Shardul picks up 6 wickets against Bengal.

Good news from Indian team's point of view.  Shardul was a bit off-colour this Ranji season after a wonderful outing in the last.

Kuila has already picked up 2 wickets in the same match out of the 5 wickets that have fallen for Mumbai.

Aaron missing this match too.

He is already 27....and missing out another season of FC      :(

What is the status of his injury ?

Aaron is most definitely going to miss the bus. We already have our top 4 pacers as Shami, Umesh, Bhuvi and Ishant and wont need any more for the long home season. He will have to be ready for our next outside Asia assignment and it will be difficult to do it if he doesn't play FC consistently.

He may get chances as the 5th specialist pacer abroad...because of his pace....and will have to make the most of the opportunity if he gets one.

His chances may come due to injury to other pacers too  ( although,  hopefully  it does not come that way  )

Very impressive innings by Srikar Bharat 68(67) on a raging tuner. The next best score was 29.

Bharat played very positive cricket - anything short outside off stump, he was cutting, and any over-pitched ball he was trying to hit straight over the bowler's head."

Bharat started very well, but fizzled out later - at one point, was avg around 50 as an opener keeper-batsman.

I am stating the obvious, haven't seen such a poor, n defensive captain, who did not understand or value fast bowlers.

Do you remember" Do we need fast bowler or good bowlers" what a jerk n Kohli has proved how wrong n poor he was, he should have never been made to capt a test side as he had no idea at all to captain. In longer version n did a lot of damage to the team n our test side

Deepak Hooda showing his improvement as a batsman on a tricky pitch at Dharmshala favoring seamers. They dismissed MP for 217, Babashafi picking up a 5-fer and Hooda now scores a 50 when top order failed, came in to bat at 4, still batting, needs a 100 on this pitch. This neutral venue thing is good fort development of players. MP has a very decent bowling attack containing bowlers who are quick like Chandrakant Sakure and bowlers who can make use of new ball in seaming conditions well Ishwar Pandey and Puneet Datey.

@rkt.india wow chennai pitch aiding seamers? some "SSN college ground" in Madras.

This is a good opportunity for R. Pant to show he can grit, and dig in and score difficult runs. Not always the swashbuckle batsman but can also battle it out, on tough pitches. Hope he can step up and show that.

How is Shrikant Wagh the bowler doing, these days?

You forgot Chennai ODI against Pak that pitched aided seamers a lot. Any pitch can aid seamers if you leave grass and keep watering it, does not matter if it is in Chennai or Delhi.
