jalebi_bhai Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 He does this slight shuffle across to cover the off stump nowadays when the ball is swinging. The trigger movement begins as the bowler is releasing the ball at the crease. Cricketics 1

In England he was asked by Fletcher to lengthen his stride. He was then planting his bat between his legs. His head was the falling over the offside and he was chasing balls outside the offstump. Shastri asked him to shorten his stride and have a back and across movement.

So he can meet the ball before it can really start swinging. I see.
maniac Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Virat is one of india's best players of the pull shot and handling bounce.....will this new stance not effect his ability playing the short ball especially the ones coming at your head at 140+...can someone explain?

He can make adjusments acc to conditions and he has done that before and will keep doing. Thats what all gr8 players do
wanted_desi Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 He should go play country cricket this time around. It will do him good, if we ever want to have a chance of winning series in England, he should get used to conditions.

Texan Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 We will really only see the difference when he plays in England next.
