Siraj has always performed ,whether it be for Hyderabad or India A team.

 

It is sad to see him still not in the queue but Shardul, Chahar, ahead of him.

 

Our team management and selection committee are still not brave enough to play him against Bangladesh also.

People will discuss cricketing aspects on a cricket forum.  

 

That is what cricket forums are for. 

 

Discussing weaknesses do not mean writing off a youngster.

Cricket forums will have some casual and incorrect comments too. It is best not to get too perturbed.

It's high time the TM starts investing in young bowlers like Siraj, Natarajan, Saini, Nagarkoti etc for test format instead of TTF (like spraygun).       BTW,. Congrats Siraj on your 1st test wicket.

Seems to have lot of control over his bowling. Looks like a bowler whom captain would want in the team to execute the plans. 

 

He should do well if team formulates good plan - is that possible with Bewag? And also if captain isn't clueless in middle.

Siraj looks so skillful. He is brisk. Can move the ball both ways. Can bowl a fiery bumper. Welcome addition to our bowling unit.  Really enjoyed his spell.

Ideally Siraj should have made debut when he was taking wickets against A sides.

 

Also I wonder there would have been difference if he had made his debut under Virat captaincy

He does look decent with the red ball and the potential natural outswinger but I dont rate this 2/40 odd as some brilliant bowling performance, any bowler can get 2 wkts on this pitch .

This day 1 pitch is tailor made for bowlers

I didn't have too many expectations, but one thing which stood out is that he showed brains. He is a thinking bowler and bowled to a plan, setup the batsmen. That's what you need from a bowler. Compared to Umesh, irrespective of his potential he doesn't show any signs that he is thinking or trying to setup the batsmen. Umesh just runs in and bowls!
