chewy Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Yuvraj played well today, nailing his shots (but one of which lead to his downfall), but still struggling to rotate strike. Too many times he smashed a four, then played out dot balls instead of actively looking for singles. It would be a mistake to select him in future ODIs and T20s, you cant take Cuttack pitch everywhere with you. World T20 2014 Final catastrophe is waiting to happen again with Yuvraj at the crease.

Firstly steadying the ship with Kohli and then coming into his own with some delightful strokes. On another day he would have clipped that ball for six. He's lost power over the years tbf. Played ok today.

King Tendulkar Posted January 22, 2017 Author Posted January 22, 2017 The power is back . Defo . Ball humming of his bat . WeStMiDz 1
Malcolm Merlyn Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Flat tracks in any format. And in ODI format he is still good.
Sidhoni Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Should have probably been dropped instead of Pandey but man what a cameo! I don't know how do you drop someone who just scored 27(10) to be honest. New guy and Lord 2

Sidhoni Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Pandey isnt good unless in top 3 Yeah but looking at Yuvi in first two games anyone could have been better. If he failed today Jadhav would've replaced him next series.

He just not quite a t 20 player imo . More classical and for odis . Wants 10 balls to get in which is ok in odis but t 20? Sidhoni, Under_Score and New guy 3

Against better bowlers, which he will comes across at intl level the guy's inconsistent and done. Let him play IPL to close his career.

May have a season or so left in him.

You will see him struggle in CT. Hope I'm wrong but i think it's time to go with younger lot. We have likes of Iyer, Pant, Manish Pandey etc. who need to be given chances.
Ankit_sharma03 Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 There is still something about his front foot that worries me , i fear highly skilled bowler might exploit it But if the pitches are flat that might come to his rescue. Still there is a massive improvement in his batting and fitness to. He looks fitter then last time. Hope he started bowling a lot more soon 38 minutes ago, sandeep said: Well he handled Tymall Mills with ease today. May have a season or so left in him. Thing with mills is , he isnt highly skill. I worry about him at start specially if some skilled bowler is against him. In t20 u get rid of a bowler in 1-2 overs in Odi wnt happen. Still there are a lot more positive sign
King Tendulkar Posted June 4, 2017 Author Posted June 4, 2017 Not all are blessed with my cricket eye lol
ravishingravi Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 As much as I disagree with this decision to play Yuvi in present ODI team, he is best batsman to watch along with Rohit. Lord 1
