Thats just being prejudice. Which is ironic given India's history of discriminating people based on caste. What is wrong is having under performing old players in the team. There is nothing wrong with having " old " players in the team. If an " old " player is good then he should be in the team. However, there are practical problems when there are too many " old " players in the team in bilateral LOIs with no World Cup around the corner...... for reasons I have outlined in the OP. We are seeing in recent times that when there are 2 players of unknown current ability available, the " old " guy is getting selected. This is another issue. One can understand an in-form " old " player continuing to play. That should be the case. But why bring back players like Gambhir, Nehra etc. who have not played for long and are not in great current form either ? Why play Vinay Kumar, Ashok Dinda in practice matches and not try young quick bowlers ? Edited January 27, 2017 by express bowling Mosher, tweaker and New guy 3
King Tendulkar Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Although devils advocate 3 top scorers yesteray where dhoni , kohli and raina. None youngsters . What were Raul , pandya and pandey doing the young guns would have been 90 all out if all young guns New guy 1

I will take a loss with youngsters than a loss by playing three 35 plus years old. At least, youngsters will learn something. Not every young guy is going to do well. Manish Pandey anyway isnt the right choice to bat at 6 in a T20 game. He bats in top for KKR. Opened for RCB before that. He isnt a high strike rate batsman. First, we need to identify right guys for the right format. New guy 1
coffee_rules Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Kohli agrees, that we lost the match due to old foggies. They have to step up! http://www.deccanherald.com/content/593367/kohli-asks-seniors-shoulder-responsibility. html Quote Kohli asks seniors to shoulder responsibility “We have a young side and it is important for them to enjoy. It’s up to us seniors to take the load off them. Credit to English bowlers, they bowled good hard lengths with extra pace and bounce. We would have liked to execute that as well, but we were about 30-35 runs short on that wicket."
rkt.india Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 England side is young too, probably younger than this Indian side.
