Cricketics Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Wjere is Mishra in the playing 11? Also, Hardik has bowled, fielded well in this series. Liked how he got hit on the first ball today and then came back with some good varitions. Also was energetic on the field. Hit well also in the last over when all he was getting to face were low full tosses and yorkers which are both hard to connect for any batsman. Pandya in my playing x1 surely for now. tweaker 1
CoverDrive Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 I don't know how Ashwin gets picked over Mishra as your lead spinner. Leg Spinners are doing better in LOIs. Jadeja did well in the ODI series and can be considered vs. a Third seamer based on conditions.

England is not going to have or provide pitches that will help Ash/Jaddu take wickets in Champions Trophy. I know everyone loves the big shot that Rahul can play, but he's nowhere near as proven or consistent as Dhawan, for all his hackishness. And KLR is still learning how to pace his innings. He isn't ready. I don't want him as the incumbent opener, either he plays in the middle order, or in the squad as 3rd opener.

Dhawan is the one who has single handedly won us matches and that too in world Cup and Champions Trophy .Rahul hasn't won any match single handedly . Dhawan also usually scores quickly or gets .Don't scratch around too much often.Rahul has shown in both ODIs and T20s he can't take advantage of powerplays . If Dhawan who had 2 two poor scores is out of form , how is Rahul who had 3 failures in ODIs and 5 out of six overall in any better form ? Dhawan is lefty , won't get bogged down in ODIs and proven performer in big tournaments .Only reason Rahul scores over him frankly is he is young . Lord 1

How many odi has rahul even played ???? 6......cant pass a judgement on 6 odi's Yes no doubt dhawan has done that in past.....but the ques is whats his current form. How is his confidence level After 6 mnths it shud be seen who is in better form and obv who is fit Dhawan has nt been all good only, there is a reason he has lost his place. And yes Rahul hasnt used his opp as well SO no point taking a call right now. Things can change dramatically in next few mnths
