how is it not from last two years, only England series is not there. from  8 Jan 2015 and 8 Jan 2017, exactly 2 years.

Pretty sure today date is 04/02/2017.

So last two years is 03/02/2015 to 03/02/2017.

Not sure why too confusing .Statsguru even gives the option last 2 years .

What u r doing is picking the ODI series in Australia (which was before world Cup) that was 2 years ago and not including stats of England series which was in 2 two years .

these stats were picked before England series. I have not extracted new stats. Check this thread. This thread was made on Jan 8, so, stats are till Jan too.

Exclude ZIm and till before England series he was averaging 34 with an SR of 82.

I had posted those stats from the thread that was made on Jan 8. So, there was no cherry picking and those stats included games till Jan 8. It was a reply to the poster who said Dhoni never lost his form in LOIs. I showed him that he did during 2015-2016. He did decently well against England and that is a different thing.

Mate u didn't specify 2015-16 but last two years .

Anyway as I already posted he only struggled in Australia .Otherwise he averaged during that period even if u exclude his performances against England were

59 in world Cup

41 in Bangladesh

53 against South Africa and

39 against Newzealand .

Also 55 against England.

His main issue these days has been his SR.  He has batted mostly at No.5 and No.6 in the last 2 years and these spots demand a much higher SR these days.   88 used to be a good SR for finishers even 5 years back but the game has changed a lot now.

 

If he bats long enough then he makes up on the SR front on many occasions but the problem is at the beginning and maybe middle of the innings most of the times.

pound for pound dhoni is more powerful than a jaguar ..

Once again that stats isnt accurate for 5 and 6 as u mentioned .His strike rate batting at 5 and 6 in last 2 years is 96.39 (excluding Zimbabwe)

The point is that, while his average is still acceptable, he needs to improve his SR at the beginning and middle of his innings, especially if he comes to bat at No. 5
