During scandals like Monkeygate, Gambho-Watson shoulder push, Jaddu-Anderson shovegate, Hayden's 3rd world country jibe etc he has always supported India. I don't think money is the sole reason. Akram enjoys immense fanfare in India and he has a positive outlook about India, he has helped our quicks in the past too. We should give the cold shoulder treatment to haters like Basit Ali, Sohail Tanvir, Miandad but not the nice guys like Wasim, Waqar, Kamran (check his video slamming Basit Ali on live TV for undermining ICT), Rameez, Inzi etc.

Yes, it's heart wrenching to see these gentlemen suffer. Maybe, they should publicly denounce the Pak army's policy of state sponsored terrorism. Will take their popularity in India to new heights and GOI might be compelled to make a few exceptions.

Dude, your government is yet to prosecute (we can forget about extraditing) the Lakhvi guy who was conclusively proven to be behind the Bombay attacks of 2008.  Think about it.  A dozen murderers were sent to our city and proceeded to kill hundreds of innocent civilians with guns and bombs.  And your government is playing games and making excuses instead of punishing the guilty? Why, because anything that hurts India and Indians is good in their eyes.   There is no gray here, its simple black and white.  And this is not some "non state actor" like that idiot LeT guy.  This is your official government.  And guess what, reality is that while you guys moan and cry about being "victims" of terrorism, may even pay lip service by condemning such attacks, your government is still dragging its feet with basic international law and plain decency.  What do you expect Indians to do?  Welcome you guys with flowers and gulab Jamun?
