Smith backed it up with 100* what will Virat do ?

He may well match or even surpass Smith considering how flat the pitch is. But Smith here has proven that he is the number 1 batsman post Sanga-Amla-ABDV generation. A flawless record in every condition, his lowest average is in Lanka, around 42 odd. :hatsoff:

Kock and especially Smith are good at bashing India wherever the match is...

Lets hope Virat can get 50 atleast..

Virat has been ruled out.

Dont think Kohli will chicken out. He will definitely play if his body allows. But he wont make a big difference with the bat. But I guess, even his presence in the field as a captain will make a lot of difference. So yeah - he should play

It's  Kohli's duty as the Indian captain and leader to come out and score big now.

He verbally went at Smith and Smith has thrown down the gauntlet, it is up to Kohli to match it now.

Unless his arm is literally falling off his body he needs to show leadership and push through the injury, we all know he is capable of going out and matching Smiths score, no one is doubting his ability, but it is now his mental strength that is being tested.

I am not sure how you back up a blatant attempt at cheating with a fine innings.  No one has questioned Smith's batting ability, only his integrity.  No number of centuries can overcome the fact that he tried to break the rules and was caught red-handed.

He glanced towards the box once and then walked off without challenging, he apologised and moved on... A lot of Indian fans are carrying on like he murdered somebody, dear god get over it.

We must have been watching different matches. It took umpire Llong rushing up to him and stopping him in his tracks to send him on his way.

Yeah, we mustve been, because he was already walking at that stage, and never reviewed the decision anyway #mountainsoutofmolehills

Lol. He asked for dressing room review and the umpire kicked him out. Accept that. You guys are worse than Aussie players.

News on Kohli: He won't be taking field just yet, but might take part later on. Is fit to bat though
