DK > Pant

Recommended Posts

If Pant is in the side he should be used as a pinch hitter. At this point that is what he is qualified for. Put him at no.3 Move Raina down if there is any early wicket. About KKD , he is far far more experienced than Pant.So not fair comparison. KKD has faced Mcgrath, Pollock in Tests. He has been around that long. Pant was 7 years old when KKD  made debut.  Having said that KKD was far better a batsman when he made debut at 19 than Pant is now. Karthik scored a match winning 93 runs in a Test match at the age of 19.

Way too early to judge Pant. Let him have a run of a few games to figure things out. In fact, he should be the wicketkeeper. That will keep him zoned in. Also KL should get in too. Should replace DK. He is probably the best batsman in this squad. No good reason for keeping KL to be out of the 11.

Yes Having 2 wicket keepers don't make sense. As a keeper Pant's inclusion is somewhat justifiable. But purely as a batsman no way. I can't buy he is better than someone like Mayank Agarwal  or KL Rahul in any format.

Yes, that was a good knock. there was some chance of the tail being rolled over quickly but he and dravid played well.

Pant is certainly better than Agarwal in T20s.

seems like thats why great unadkat was not bowling to a channel.

Channel bowling is good in tests and to some extent in ODIs.  T20 bowling is different.  Unadcut just does not have that kind of talent, neither good enough pace. He relies a lot on slower balls.  Once they don't work, he goes for plenty.

DK has really worked hard at his game. He has been treated poorly by the management and the so called experts on this forum. He is delivering right now and deserves to play. If he quits performing then make a change but give credit where it is due.

DK>>>>Dhoni. No brainer. pant is irrelevant to this discussion.

yes he has worked hard whole season to be india's keeping choice by not keeping wkts whole domestic season

Don't judge by the last two T20. DK had absolutely no pressure and in those situations he is a gun player. That's why he scored hundreds in CT practice matches and still scores heavily in domestic games cause his place in TN is guaranteed.

If u send him when the score is 2/2 he will melt instantly. Yes talent wise he is better than Dhoni and Pant but he is a mental midget
