Krunal Pandya’s knock today is a breath of fresh air

Just 20 runs but look at the approach and attitude. Absolutely finished the game without any stupid strategies. He was batting with a senior player but still just absolutely nailed it without taking singles or trying other stunts.

 

Also clean striker+ can play innovative shots

 

This is what has been missing from our lower order all these days.

 

 

Loved the attitude.

 

Get this guy in ODIs as well.

Both pandya bros are very destructive against spin , thats why i want them in team for long....not to forget they come as packages

Even though watever i hve seen of krunal, his game against pace n bounce isnt case but he is a package so wnt hurt much

Sure .... like Bevan, he appears calm .... plays innovative shots .... is a good fielder .... useful bowler .... and appears to perform beyond what is expected from him (or better than perceived better cricketers in the 11)

his bowling wud give us 6 bowlers 

N allow to play 3 proper seamer + hardik and then we can have kuldeep n krunal as spinners

 

N a 6th bowler who can keep things tight is very good for any bowling attack

It is a travesty that Jadeja is batting at No.7 in ODIs  and  Krunal is nowhere in the picture.

 

Krunal can be an ideal No.6 or No.7 batter in ODIs and bowl some good overs.

I don't have even idea how did Jadeja even get into team because Hardik Pandya was injured in Asia cup?He wasnt in any squad(ODI/T20)in England tour.Atleast Krunal was there in England t20s.Should have preferred Krunal over Jaddu in Asia cup,too.

Bevan is a bit of a stretch maybe Chris Harris

 

But a valuable package and any selector with common sense will pick him over Jadeja in LOIs

Big fan of Krunal but it's funny how easily player who debuted today is getting compared with ODI Goat. Bevan is surely in my top 3 batsman list in odi format. Way way underrated and most people don't even know it sadly.

      When i wrote about having him 50 overs match too as the 6th bowler soem time back , many here commented that  he is not a SPINNER .

      We should not forget the value of a restrictive bowler also who is a good AR package in the eleven in a t20 or 50 overs match. 

      These one day matches throw up  situations so many times that a restricve spell of couple of overs makes a big impact in a tight game and  then batsmen underr pressure make mistakes . The restrictive bowler may/may not take that wicket but will help in some one getting it .   

 My punt is this pandya will also shine in 50 overs . 

 Feels good we are very near to the T20 team we all wanted here at ICF.

It would be a hype if we start acting like he is the next Bevan  .... This would be much like Shaw reminds us of Sehwag / Tendulkar, etc. .... this is in terms of approach, calmness, playing innovative shots, etc., .... the execution of Bevan was at a different level
