The Conclusion is ready for release and many pro-Kannada organisations have started demanding an apology from actor Sathyaraj, who plays the key role of Kattapa in the film, for some controversial remarks he made several years ago[about Cauvery dispute]. They have claimed that Baahubali: The Conclusion will not be allowed to release in Karnataka if the apology is not tendered.

Rajamouli said, “We are no way connected with the issue. It is a very sensitive issue. We don’t what to talk about the issue. Whether speaking about it will pacify the issue or instigate it further we don’t know, it is a very sensitive issue. We also don’t know if keeping quiet is the right thing or talking about it. We are in a confused state. We feel turning the anger on Sathyaraj towards Baahubali is not right.”

"We learned that whatever comments Mr Sathyaraj made it was nine years back. And after that, about 30 films of his were released in Karnataka. Baahubali 1 released. No one had problems with that. And suddenly, raking up the issue at this point in time is not right,” he added.

“It doesn’t affect Sathyaraj in any way. If at all, it only affects the film, which has nothing to with Sathyaraj or his opinion,” said Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda.

Some random group protesting ..most probably an aspiring neta or organized by the producers for marketing

You really think Bahubali if all movies need controversy to get hyped lol

Because of this threat no one has bought the movie rights for Bahubali yet in Karnataka.

Protests and Violence in India are paying off. This is the reason so many groups now look to any issue to gain publicity .Sooner or later every state in India will be in group of some Religious , cultural , linguistic , caste based organisation who will use protests and violence for showing their power

anyways the move will be horse ****, some guy will walk around with a rigid flexed body all the movie and a forced expression, as if he is pooping with some pain but feels good about it, while singing with girls in rain, moving mountains, or mom sentiment and generally being telugu hero.

Side show, chutiyas have no jobs want to gain some political mileage and limelight. In Bangalore, there are no movie posters, only posters of random people wishing happy  birthday to a local goon. . There is one main guy whose picture is a little bigger than the 100 people wishing him whose photos are right next to him. Nuisance.

honestly kannadigas dont feel so strongly about this, at times i think bangalore is going mumbai way in terms of goons doing realpolitik and occupying screen-space , its because of SM krishna and congress weakening in KA with lack of singular leadership in BJP its a weird situation of many cooks or crooks rather.

IMHO tamilians are #1 in using language/state name todo useless politics  .. marathis/ kannadigas comes far behind

recently MK Stalin started again this 1960 ka anti-hindi movement ( though he got little to no response )

thats very true. lots of tamil jingoism in the past, i used to hate it during the 'tamil' language classrooms. But i think there is no violence against other states, they love srilankans though but they are a different country.

Most south films are male chavunistic. The only acting required from actress is to look beautiful. Eve teasing is glorified. Fight sequences are hilariously depressing. The only positive I can say is at least each of them have some story to narrate.

The real protest must have been against the movie itself. Bahubali is so bad that its actually hard to believe that such dire crap passes for good movies these days. Most of the arrow firing scenes were directly lifted from Chinese movie Hero.

Besides that, I really don't understand why people like Sathayaraj get involved in political movements -  this whole film fraternity standing up to social evils is a unique TN phenomenon. No where else have I seen actors and actresses protest about every single minute issue. They are all aiming for that CM seat. Shambolic state of affairs in TN as they keep voting nautanki after nautanki for CM.
