Why just BCCI's share go to associate nations? Everyone needs to chip in from their share to get associate nations some money, why just BCCI's.

This is like raising awareness about poverty and asking for donations from just one person.

Actually England will also loose around 20 million. If we accept 💯 million being offered England will lose more and rest will loose around 5 million each.

Source for 80% revenue ?

India's GDP is approx $2 trillion.

GB $3 trillion, AUS 1.5 trillion, Pak + RSA + NZ + BD  + WI  + another 1 trillion plus, add in associates like the Gulf nations and that figure balloons.

Do you pull these figures from the air?

India's GDP is equal to GB at present.Almost entirely focussed on one sport.

GB has many sports with Football being the most popular.Cricket isnt drawing in the money. In Australia AFL etc are more popular than cricket.NZ the most popular sport is rugby, same in SA. Pak keeps begging for a India tour, tells your their position.Bangladesh is a small economy while WI economies are miniscule.

Which Gulf nation has a great team?If gulf citizens had so much interest in cricket why Pak matches in UAE are not choc a bloc? Its the South Asians who fill stadium there. The Pakistanis and Bdeshis are mainly blue collared job holders while Indians hold white collar jobs.

The 80% revenue from India is ICC's version, not mine.

Some misinformation being spread here that they voted to line their own pockets.

As you can see the money goes to the associates.

In the original big 3 model all the member countries were not getting $132 million - that's just a negotiating tactic attempted by the caretaker BCCI, to keep the increased amounts for voting members.  A bad one in my opinion.

400 million was offered to India while the BCCI was willing to compromise for 450.

Note that total BCCI revenue is about 1.5 Billion.

The 50 million difference is hence 3% of their total revenue.

The extreme overreactions here over this amount are funny.

No not really. It's a matter of principle and fair play. None of the other ICC members' revenues, including Eng and Aus, were reduced even by 1% whereas Ind/BCCI is being forced to take a 50% cut! If ICC was really being fair and its intent was not to take advantage of BCCI's turmoil due to Supreme Court's ruling, it should have cut say 20% revenue from each member's share. Why should the onus be on BCCI alone to fund everything ICC thinks need to be done.

As a note ECB and CA literally ran ICC till 90s when Dalmiya came to power and changed the face of cricket. Till that time I didn't see any intent on Eng and Aus' part to share their revenue in an equitable manner. Why? Then why exactly can anyone force BCCI to do so? The current ruling is almost a socialist move where the state is deciding what's good and fair for BCCI and not the market forces. If you have seen how the real world operates, such arrangements rarely last. Same thing here coz you will see another Dalmiya or the next Srinivasan come in and change things again.

sorry India crossed GB last month in gdp :) and we grow at around 7.6 againt britains what ever 1.something and no its not as simple as that. Eng( which is part of GB not all) and Aus are the only countries that can self sustain at current levels. if india cedes then the other nations wont be able to compete with Eng/Aus with very reduced discretionary spending possible, as there wont be high end salaries they will all become what pak is today semi professional side.

This is the kind of comedy that you can expect only Pakistanis to come up with.

Do you realize size of the economy has no relation to how much money a sport could generate in revenue ? That's just elementary logic. That's like saying if America has a cricket team, they will generate highest revenue just because they are the biggest economy. Dumb stuff.

Revenues from countries like Pakistan, SL, WI, SA, NZ, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh combined is still not even 10 % compared to revenue from India and yet they are getting more than 1 billion dollars which is 65 % in estimated profits and India generates more than 80 % revenue and gets 18 % estimated profits according to new model. Even 400 million dollars is <20 % which is still a massive loot of BCCI revenue.

corrected and 575mil was 20.3% is what i am given to understand.

It is an Indian in Manohar who has given BCCI a shaft.Pakistanis  along with their idiot chairman  are proclaiming as if this was due to them.

Khan needs to shut his yap, he has zero saying in world cricket and always comes across as beggar. His empty threats were hilarious before but now they are getting irritating. This guy is now looking bgiger buffoon as the one who gave "bookie circle comment in 2010 during Lords fiasco".

Why are Pakistans rejoicing, their board  had no entity before this and they will have no entity after this also.

Add extra 100m to that total of 293 and it will bring india's total share close to 400 m which I personally believe is a bit too high for a nation which already has a well developed cricket infrastructure.

Yes, in order to maintain those infrastructure bcci indeed needs some money. I think 250 m would've been more than enough for bcci.

Instead if giving India Extra 100 m  Icc should've given that extra amount to other associate nations since they r the one who actually needs help from ICC,  not India/bcci who earns billions of dollars through ipl or other events. ICC's share is like a pocket change to bcci. This is the only way cricket can become a global sport.

Get the FCUK out of here to your rathole.

I am all for Associates getting money to improve their structure but what I am not for is why is it BCCI who has to give up their share for the associates? Why don't they collectively give up shares together? Ask BCB to pour out 10M, ask PCB to pour out 10M, ask SLC to pour out 10M, etc. If its done collectively fair enough. But this seems like a stick up Bcci's butt.

Let's say BCCI goes in for the nego and negociates it to around 430M then it should also be negotiated that the rest of them gives up a portion aswell to fund the associates.

This scenario is literally like this:  A doctor makes 100K but has to pay 40K in tax in addition have to pay 20-30K more to poor people cause well they are too poor. Then what the f*ck was the point of becoming a doctor if I have to give away almost more than 50% of my money? Might aswell stay poor ... -_-

Atleast we Indian fans are bothered about what Our teams board makes. Why are you bothered about posting how much our board should be making or not making?

Asim bhai, its not about the money.  We all should know that the BCCI can afford the cuts that are being proposed.  Its about how the ECB has gone about doing this.   You want fans to just accept the political ambush that Giles Clarke has set up - at a time when the BCCI is being completely overhauled - that's not going to sit well with anybody.
