Hindu Temple Vandalised, Idols Smashed And Thrown Into Sewage In Pakistan's Sindh Province

In Pakistan Hindus have been beaten and tortured so much that there is no point in flogging a dead horse. Kidnappings, rapes, forced conversions happen by the minute and their qaum consider it normal/Islamic. Now they are after Shias, Ahmediyas and Christians. Boy am I so glad that partition happened, if only some more anti national Sunnis from places like Old Hyderabad, Dhanbad, Garden Reach, Malabar etc had migrated to that godforsaken country our lives would have been so much better.

Fair point. My question remains unanswered. Why did Aurangzeb not destroy all the temples. Why have Pakistanis not destroyed all the temples in 70 years , when their govt does not oppose it.

For Aurangzeb, it was a simple logistical problem.  There were simply too many of them to destroy - they did attack and plunder the top ones.

If you go to Ellora Caves in Maharashtra - you will see one of the greatest architectural jewels of humanity - The Kailashnath temple carved out of a mountain - its called rock-cut architecture.  While the structure is still impressive, more than a thousand years after it was built, I remember feeling so sad and angry that such a beautiful monument was defaced by invaders, simply because they couldn't tolerate such magnificence for a faith alien to their own.   Almost each and every elephant statue that's part of the temple had its trunk chopped off.  This was not something done in the heat of battle - it would have taken months to do this.   The Mughals couldn't destroy every temple and convert the entire population, simply because India was too big, the population too numerous, for them to completely subjugate.   Besides, after a while, the Mughals quickly figured out, that it is better to have a good sized chunk of the population that is non-muslim - easier to exploit them without any restrictions that would apply if they were muslim.

Fair point on Aurangzeb. There are youtube videos by Dr Ram Puniyani who says Aurangzeb only targeted temples which were doing business and had a lot of gold. But what would stop a rogue state like Pakistan or their civilian population to even keep the Hindu temples or Sikh Gurudwaras for 70 years and destroy like, one every year. Should have gotten rid of all of them in the first 10 years after partition

You are giving the "rogue state" too much credit.   They are not efficient enough to complete a pogrom like that.  It happens slowly, by letting mob violence and anarchy go unpunished against the local hindus.  There's a reason why hindus that can leave Pakistan have done so already.

surely cannot take 70 years. pogrom is on killing people, not temples. Even if they destroy it in a year, who would object in that country why cannot Hindus come to India.  what about gurudwaras. why are gurudwaras not destroyed

For all Aurangzeb apologizers:

Quote

Aurangzeb - Certified Secular History As Approved by JNU

Once upon a time, there lived a great sufi saint called Aurangzeb. When he came of age, he felt bad for his father Shahjahan, who was burdened with the stressful task of running an empire and killing infidels.

A dutiful son that he was, Aurangzeb could not bear to see his father suffer like this. So he very kindly relieved Shahjahan of the burden of kingship and sent him to a comfortable retirement retreat in Agra. His older brothers craved for peace and poetry, so he sent them to paradise, where they could be in peace forever.

Aurangzeb was not only a Sufi saint, but he was also an expert on Hindu scriptures. He believed that too much money made Hindus materialistic and hence, hindered their spiritual growth. Aurangzeb persuaded Hindus among his kingdom to voluntarily donate their money to the treasury so that they could then focus their energies on worship of the Divine. This spiritual donation he called the Jiziya!

He realigned the architecture of great Hindu temples because he wanted to encourage Hindus to focus their energies internally, to solve the deep mysteries of the soul, and not in extraneous things like temples.

Aurangzeb believed that the ultimate goal of every Hindu was to break the cycle of rebirth and attain Moksha. Aurangzeb helped millions of Hindus in their spiritual quest by releasing their souls from the pitiful cages they called bodies. Thus, he helped a whole generations of Hindus attain Moksha.

He called the great Maratha King Shivaji to Agra to discuss the possibility of starting Marathi schools in Agra. However, Shivaji did not appreciate the Mughal method of teaching using the Mughaltessori method and went back to Maharashtra. Aurangzeb then decided to visit Shivaji in Maharashtra to see for himself the way Marathi is taught in schools there.

While Aurangzeb and his peaceful disciples were on this educational tour of Maharashtra, Shivaji Maharaj died. Aurangzeb then called his son Sambhaji to discuss the Education system of Maharashtra.

Aurangzeb then gave such a powerful talk on the joys of organ donation that Sambhaji offered to donate both his eyes. Aurangzeb accepted Sambhaji’s offer gladly and helped him take out his eyes.

In fact, Aurangzeb was a great champion of organ donation. While in Delhi, his powerful lectures on the subject had even convinced the Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur to donate his entire head!

Aurangzeb was so impressed by the Education system of Maharashtra that he chose to spend his last days in Maharashtra running a small scale unit of hand-woven skull caps!

No country can afford a policy of official discrimination unless they have "phuck you" money - like the oil-rich saudis temporarily do.   Broke-ass Pakistan that survives on loans and aid from the IMF, US etc certainly can't.   But a policy that denies proper protection and funding for minority populations, their organizations, their places of worship will certainly cause a severe decay over time - the results are for all to see in the pure land.

The real trouble is Bangladesh is heading Pakistan's way...with news of love jihad/temple destruction/beatings/illegal property take over of Hindus every day coming out in local bangla papers that do not make it to national news. BD situation is now worse than Pak Hindu situation.

How's the life for an average Hindu family in Bangladesh?  I'm sure it couldn't be as bad as its in Pakistan.

The Bangladeshi Muslims even though religious aren't Arab Wannabes and are proud of their Bengali roots which means a large part of the population would always share a bond with their Hindu counterparts. Unlike Pakistan where any history or culture shared with India is considered Haram, Urdu and Arabic are considered National Languages and regional languages common in both countries are to be shunned. The State and people are in constant evolutionary process to carve a new Islamic Arab identity and disowning every single attachment with their pre-Islamic history.

I don't see all of that happening in Bangladesh ever.

True, but there are many lunatics there too who are causing all kinds of problems. Biggest problem is that "Islamic Identity" transcends all land boundaries, cultures, etc. That is why when any region becomes Muslim majority, all other religions will be crucified, no matter how secular minded the same folks were before becoming a majority. Assam, WB, Kerala are all headed that way. Kashmir valley is already there.

@Asim - why do you run away from threads like these?

Pakistanis crucifying every other religion. Hindus were a significant minority 60 years ago, now a very small minority and even those are living under constant threats.

In Pakistan Hindu's were between 1.6-1.8% in 1951 census. The population is still same. In East Pakistan they were 22.5% in 1951 , 13.5 after creation of BD and 9.6 now , Still want to believe that in BD they are better

Thats all you got? Hindus are regularly targeted and humiliated in Pak. They are force converted, raped and killed. You have mutilated them to such an extent that even though they are a very small minority, Pakistani Muslims can't even let that small minority live peacefully. Anybody can make up any story about blasphemy and throw any Hindu or Christian in jail. Of course you and your fellow P@kis don't give a damn because they are supposedly kafirs.

I have seen your views and threads and I don't find your posts regarding Hindus trustworthy considering you were asking questions like "Why Pakistan did not destroy all Hindu temples in 1947?"

So will you agree if someone else says this point. Why the focus is not the point. Our media is a bunch of lies. Why suddenly so much trust in media. I have many Pakistani friends in Canada. Majority Christians but sikhs and Hindus also. They are very happy with Pakistan. Should one trust our stupid media or trust the real people one has met. I am requesting. Try once. I cannot be the only one whose experience has been very good with them.
