It has also proved that most phaast ones coming out of India are failures as well.

The selector point is interesting - when selectors ignore your phaast ones, you guys cry saying ’selectors are idiots’ and when the same selectors ignore the medium-fast ones, you guys say ’See even the selectors know they are not worth it’. So the intelligence and wisdom of selectors would be judged according to convenience, right?

He had seam movement and accuracy, similar to what Sandeep offers.

Sandeep has swing, not seam. Asif and Philander are seam bowlers. Sandeep swing bowler. Sandeep is not accurate. He goes for plenty of he doesn't get the Swing.

He offers both. Watch the balls to Gayle and Parthiv that seam after pitching. The ball to Kohli swings.

Control over line & length itself will give you lots of wkts the way teams go hard at the bowlers trying to score 330 in odis and 180-200 in T20s. And it's not as if Sandeep has been getting swing everywhere in IPL for the last 3-4 years. His control is impeccable and he has the ability to manufacture wkts thanks to his control. He can get swing, seam and put the ball on perfect line & length which is a great asset. One of the best Indian pacers at the moment IMO.

Kapil , Srinath, Zaheer and Shami have been our best pace bowlers in our test history.

Srinath and Shami was / is Fast.

Kapil and Zaheer were Fast-medium.

All 4 had / has good bouncers and they could push the batsman on the back-foot when needed.

No trundler has ever been a successful  test bowler for us.

Even Umesh has started to bowl really well in the last 2 test series.

Fast-medium Bumrah is now our best LOI bowler.

There is bound to be one or two bad fast bowlers in every era in every country and India has been no exception.

No he doesnt seam the ball......

At his pace batsman will dance down n make their own length.....N that would happen in international cricket
