Even Haroon Logart wants to make Indians his slave

Is Lorgot right on his stance about BCCI should confirm South Aftican tour first

22 members have voted

  1. 1. Should BCCI confirm the tour?

    • Yes, BCCI must gve them confirmation for the tour.
    • Not needed, they backstabbed us in the voting. They can keep their players in South Africa, we don't want them in IPL
    • For the sake of Test Cricket, BCCI should confirm tour
    • Both parties should make some truce. Both International cricket and IPL need to be respected.

So preparations will be ok for SA if India was willing to tour in December?

I did not get your question?

All I am saying if they want to take back their players because some important  series is coming for them and they want to prepare for that, then BCCI shouldn't come in between that. We shouldn't have such power which is stopping them or forcing them keep their players in India because of BCCI's pressure.

If in future our players are ever playing in BBL, and we have a huge series coming, we should have the right to call our players back and we will, so why shouldn't other boards call their players back for their important series.

Everyone needs everyone, I feel if their was a hit of humility by India as being top dog and getting largest share over the last 4 years then this silliness would need not happen.

If I was Indian my question would be , whatever sum of  money the BCCI gets what is it spent on?

I certainly don't see it spent on grassroots cricketers and facilities for them in India, I do see lots and lots office bearers, administrators making sure they are first in the queue

Grassroots is just part of it. India has good stadium in lot of cities. Lot of expenditure to maintain them. Bcci pays pensions to crickets as well. They do care of cricket in India well.

We are thankful these overseas players participate but the arm twisting by Mr. Lorgat is not acceptable.

I know about top level cricket in India but i also  know about grassroots cricket and that is hugely underfunded!!

India knock down a 20yr old stadium and build the largest cricket stadium in the world but that city doesnt one grass practise wicket for any young cricketer... That is caring?

Yes.

Overseas players are just added glamour nothing more .

The Franchises pay an awful lot of Rupees for just added glamour.

You do realise when new stadiums are redeveloped facilities such as practise pitches spring up alongside the stadium right?

The truth is on a per capita basis of wealth distribution India is still poorer than most boards.

And as for CSA

Drag the NZ tour so that we tour SA post December.

To dismantle the CoA the only solution is GoI passing a sports bill. SC will be shown its place.

That's for improving the quality of their team.

When they are available obviously everyone will want to buy them becoz they improve their chance of winning .

But they arent essential for the popularity of the league.

The reality a regional T20 league(TNPL) with not even Indian Domestic players garnered more viewership than Australian Big bash .

IPL doesn't need overseas players to attract Indian viewers.Indian players and regional affliction are it's USP.But Overseas definitely add that extra glamour quotant and improve the quality. And Owners are ready to pay premium for that when available.

You mean the exsiting pitches around the " old" stadium which even Ranji Trophy players are not allowed to set foot on?

So what is it?... " just added glamour nothing more" or now they are part of the party package and they help " improve the quality of the team"

You need to read the quote of yours that I quoted .

It asked whether Indian Public will support IPL without foreign players .

The answer is yes.

Where did I deny "they don't improve the quality of the team ?"
