His best test knock was 76* at Lord's to save the game. Although he never did replicate these sort of performances overseas, that was a very good knock.

I enjoyed his early 2005-06 phase the most when he utterly destroyed Pak, SL and England in the subcontinent batting in the top order. These 2 are probably my favorite knocks of his in this period. Remember Bob Woolmer being in awe of his batting during one of his interviews during 2006 series.

True. Pakistan series IMO was the turnaround for us in last decade. We saw the rise of the two of the greatest finishers in ODIs (Dhoni and Yuvi) which brought us lots and lots of wins for many years to come.

This one is not any int/ipl/dom match but a charity match in london. Very few people know about this. Viru was also part of this match. 

 

 

I was at the stadium for this game. It was a fantastic innings by MSD.
