chewy Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Why do ICC keep doing this stupidity sometimes, Why play again (after 2013) so early in English summer (rainy time) ? I can still remember the disastrous 1999 World Cup, one the most boring ICC event Rasgulla 1

And ECB deserve to make maximum money so they can save the game from the evil BCCI. GoldenSun, Zero_Unit and Vilander 3
WeStMiDz Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Looks like the CT came one week late. Had a week of beautiful weather prior to the start.

And what does this post even mean? Are you attempting to claim that India has hosted more than their fair share of tournaments? If so, prove it.

Does this century end in 2023? Is that some new version of the Mayan Calendar that predicts the end of the world? Talk about creative accounting. Is this what they teach in UK schools these days? No wonder majority buffoons thought Brexit would help their economy and voted for it. And btw, if you want to get technical about it, India has not gotten to host any ODI World cup on its own, not even once - It has always been shared with Pak/SL/Bang. England will be doing it for the 5th time.
veer Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 My interest in CT has gone down 50% after seeing NZ getting robbed against Ozzies. Rasgulla 1

Is that like one-hand one-bounce out? How old are you? Please tell me I haven't been wasting my time going back and forth with a school-going child.

Vilander Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 ^ i am sorry the other surrey or north hampshire gentleman who posts here has to read that. he doesnt like jokes on BREXIT..

Just wait til the century is up when we're both in our graves and then look over what will probably be irrelevant event allocations from 80 years ago? Not only are you selectively slicing the data-set, you are brazenly defending it too. That's funny. Stupid. But funny.
Vilander Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 @stumped has written so much with questionable logic here that he needs to pass the test for being Brit and not pakistani now.
Vilander Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 46 minutes ago, Stumped said: The joys of posting opposing viewpoints to someone here, if you do you're Pakistani... Think I've already passed that test a few times. nope not good enough say something more here. you said 'opposing view points' and cribbed so Pakistani - 10% Brit- -10% better make it more brit.
Brainfade Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 If they are going to have it in the UK, they should try and keep it for when rain is unlikely ... .... wait, what?

England and England only 2004 Champions trophy 2009 T20 world cup 2013 Champions Trophy 2017 Champions Trophy 2019 ODI WC So how exactly is that more events than any other nation when England are hosting just as much? At the very least its as many events as India. If we include total ICC event matches hosted England is miles ahead. I do believe England also in the running to host 2018 T20 world cup.
The Realist Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Not only does the weather stink but the stands are empty and the cricket is boring. Smells like the 1999 WC all over again. And that was probably the worst tournament seen. sandeep 1
Khota Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 This is a classic case of empire cheating/manipulating and making money.
YCCC Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 It's just a fact of life for us. Matches will be affected by rain, any time of year. Must look ridiculous to the rest of the cricketing world though.
cowboysfan Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 this tournament is will kill the Champions trophy once and for all if this keeps up. sandeep 1
