there is no spilt leadership, virat is captain in all three format what more he needs just dumb players who dont advice him at all

who are these people who think that dhoni is taking most on field decisions, are they any relevant persons or ignorant fans like you n me

and you talk about no consipracy theory but you also assume virat is not taking final decisions on ground, its just assumption no concrete, you are making it sound like its first time a former captain is playing under new captain

If you watch the matches and listen to the stump microphone....Dhoni is continuously setting fields, changing fields and instructing bowlers. Do you see  other wicket-keepers do that if they are not captains ?

He was telling bowlers what he feels.. So from when is that a sin ? He gets better angle from Keeping so he is moving around fielders in right place..

What's wrong with that ? He was being helpful apparently that's wrong ? Wa

"X built a great team under him as captain" is the most over-rated cr@p that one hears here. I agree the captain plays a major role, but what about the number of stubborn stupid selection decisions that these captains take. Noone remembers that. It happened with Ganguly, Dhoni and now Kohli.

yes they do ,gilly used to that ,once agn you give a feeling its first time a former captain is playing under new captain

almost all keepers instruct bowlers(bowl slow or fast or watch his leg) and whats the harm if they think batsman is doing some wrong, all normal

i find it funny you discussing dhoni being defacto leader of odi side because he is encouraging the bowler or even "instructing" bowler from behind the stumps (if i got the meaning of instruction right)

He is very biased..  You should have seen his posts before on several cricketers.

He had selective people who he backs:goodnight:

Vijay was undropable at that point , he was a better tests bat than virat himself . That's just criminal and may have ruined vjs career who was really peaking at that point have done all the hard work on tough tours . It's not about one or 10 games , the fact that he could even think that rohit could replace vj makes me not trust him . Either he is dumb or got an agenda , both not good . Same case with pujara .

Well we haven't played overseas yet , isn't that all what matters for some of you ? So we have done jack under him beating some really weak teams at home .

It doesn't matter what some here in icf think , the point is he was reluctant to pick a young talent.

Now tell me what are these brilliant selections hes done with dhoni not around ? Correcting his own stupid mistakes don't count

Which new face have we seen in the test team lately ?

Correcting his own mistakes after only a test counts. You learn from your mistakes. That part was missing under dhoni all those years. Pujara was rightly dropped. Yeah his replacement Sharma wasnt the correct choice but it definitely changed Pujara. He became more aggressive and hasnt looked back since. P.S. I criticized kohli when this happened.

Should kohli wait 50 matches like dhoni does and when they perform in one match, his chamchas will come and point to us look he did great despite 49 other undeserving chances.

Many of the commentators also felt that Dhoni was the one controlling things on the field. There was a discussion on it yesterday.

No harm in some inputs by the keeper but it is the issue of who is in charge.

Kohli must learn how to take charge on field in LOI matches, if he wants to be an effective captain.

This is what I feel. You are entitled to your views which maybe different from mine.

Agree , he needs to learn to take charge

If he has given some authority to dhoni then we shud respect it .

The area of concerns with kohli's captaincy is a lot more then dhoni;s input

Wow I never knew there was so much politics in your team. It feels no different to Pakistan. Well atleast you guys don't have crap players replacing crap players. You guys certainly got better players than Akmal bros, Shoiab Malik, Hackfeez, Misbore, Shehzad etc.

Its not as bad as pakistan cricket but players like Rahane and Yuvi are hurting the team now like sachin did in 2012

The area of concern is not with Dhoni's inputs....which may often be good.

The area of concern is too much dependence on Dhoni's inputs....which would not let him blossom fully as an ODI captain.

Exactly. If kohli needs dhonis input against this windies d team, then we are in trouble.

Seems to me that Kohli is his own man (perhaps sometimes too much so).
