Do you see other wicket-keepers do that if they are not captains ? Laaloo 1

The Dark Horse Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 "X built a great team under him as captain" is the most over-rated cr@p that one hears here. I agree the captain plays a major role, but what about the number of stubborn stupid selection decisions that these captains take. Noone remembers that. It happened with Ganguly, Dhoni and now Kohli.

SK_IH Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 and knowing the kind of personality virat is,he would make sure dhoni is apprised of that fact even indirectly

Lannister Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 The keeper needs to just shutup and let the captain do his job. We have seen enough of his skillsets when bashing minnow teams. sscomp32 1
RAZPOR Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 I don't know what the problem is ,keeper's input is vital for any captain on field. Rasgulla and sscomp32 2

That's just criminal and may have ruined vjs career who was really peaking at that point have done all the hard work on tough tours . It's not about one or 10 games , the fact that he could even think that rohit could replace vj makes me not trust him . Either he is dumb or got an agenda , both not good . Same case with pujara . Well we haven't played overseas yet , isn't that all what matters for some of you ? So we have done jack under him beating some really weak teams at home . It doesn't matter what some here in icf think , the point is he was reluctant to pick a young talent. Now tell me what are these brilliant selections hes done with dhoni not around ? Correcting his own stupid mistakes don't count Which new face have we seen in the test team lately ? Correcting his own mistakes after only a test counts. You learn from your mistakes. That part was missing under dhoni all those years. Pujara was rightly dropped. Yeah his replacement Sharma wasnt the correct choice but it definitely changed Pujara. He became more aggressive and hasnt looked back since. P.S. I criticized kohli when this happened. Should kohli wait 50 matches like dhoni does and when they perform in one match, his chamchas will come and point to us look he did great despite 49 other undeserving chances. express bowling and sscomp32 1 1

There was a discussion on it yesterday. No harm in some inputs by the keeper but it is the issue of who is in charge. Kohli must learn how to take charge on field in LOI matches, if he wants to be an effective captain. This is what I feel. You are entitled to your views which maybe different from mine. sscomp32 1

Agree , he needs to learn to take charge If he has given some authority to dhoni then we shud respect it . The area of concerns with kohli's captaincy is a lot more then dhoni;s input sscomp32 and SK_IH 2

Well atleast you guys don't have crap players replacing crap players. You guys certainly got better players than Akmal bros, Shoiab Malik, Hackfeez, Misbore, Shehzad etc. Its not as bad as pakistan cricket but players like Rahane and Yuvi are hurting the team now like sachin did in 2012
