Sehwag and sachin different era yet so fast.

Feel that sachin in his prime in todays era would easily have a strike rate of 120

hmm interesting to note

Rahane Dhawan faster than Rohit Dhawan

just shows that Rohit is a slow starter.

Rohit has looked different this series so that's a good change.

It is not surprising at all, both are equally inept in rotating strike.

It's not about rotating. If you think you can keep run rate high by rotating strike, you are wrong. That too during PP when you have 7 fielders inside the circle. Those guys used to hit a lot of boundaries and were great at findings gaps. Rahane struggle at it. Finds fielders. these guys barely try to hit first 3-4 overs. Sehwag would start hitting from ball one.

Not a big fan of Rahane - but century partnership conversion ratio when he has opened is among the best - it would be interesting to also compare based on win-loss ratio in the matches he has opened Vs other contemporary pairs.

Use to really like gambhir n sehwag, the way they stole singles, how differently they attacked and once spinners come it was halwa for them

Yes, they were a very adept partnership. Gambhir was also pretty good at 3 (WC final being an example). His overall ODI record even now is pretty good.
